‪@nijisanji‬ AnyColor opened today gapping down =3%. And while it's fighting to regain lost ground, the play behind this gapping remains somewhat strange (imo). There's a slight edge of margin buys to sells and shorts are pretty active. But at times, I do think the markets plays "how low can we go" with AnyColor before their report (especially if they think the report will be healthy or inline with expectations). We should keep an eye on shorts for accumulation. If we see the same volume that Cover had before the report release, we'll know they the price will plummet.

Hypothetical scenario - Should AnyColor keep the same earnings pace into the second half of this fiscal year, they will equal or surpass last year's numbers in every category except live events. BUT, live events were moved to Q3 and Q4 so they might finish strong in that category.

Running through some numbers ahead of AnyColor's Q3 report: (these are rough numbers based on current values and could possibly change):

- Forecast projections expect AnyColor to make 9.84B in Total revenue with an EPS of 44.51.
- Assuming AnyColor can repeat the same success in Q3 that they did in Q2, they would clear both forecasts (9.91B and 45.46 respectively)
- At minimum, AnyColor will need to make approx 9.35B in Total revenue meet the forecasted EPS (assuming no significant expenses have occurred during the quarter).

AnyColor's stock tumbled thanks in part to the bad reception from Cover's quarterly report. Cover's showing sparkles of life thanks to shorts bowing out but we'll have to keep an eye on AnyColor. If a short squeeze happens prior to their Q3 report, or if the volume of shorts stack heavy, we could see the same result once their report is released regardless of good or bad results.

This is how incredibly insane this is... Unless my math is wrong (which it could be):
- Cover will need a NET revenue of 2.5 billion yen in Q4
- This requires Cover to make 17 billion in total revenue for Q4
- Otherwise, they will miss their an anticipated EPS forecast of 36.63
- There last forecast revision placing them at 13.13 billion for Q4 (4 billion short)
- That also places their net revenue at 1.83 billion

This could be a bumpy ride for Cover going into 2026.

I struggle to understand this. Why is so much being spent on scaling up operations which when the product pipeline is still constantly plagued by turnover, under defined job assignments and outsourcing? The average employee barely makes it 2 years at Cover before moving on. I've read countless surveys from ex employees that essentially say the same thing ex AnyColor employees say. Departments are hostile towards one another. Most jobs seem to have "job duties as told by fellow employees" but little to no documentation on how to perform them. And turnaround time in communication seems to be getting worse. And that talent salary, they need to throw a bit more their way.

EDIT: Here's a link to his chart if this one is hard to read: markoyamashita.blogspot.com/2025/02/cover-corp-qua…

The market continues to insist ‪@hololive‬ is overpriced and underperforms. I break this down in my latest video showing you the metrics compared to their reported statement while mixing in critical talking points from their Financial Q&A,

A game they've already poured 3.5 billion yen into developing (that's supposed to launch by April 1!) and this is literally the only update to shareholders. 🤔🤔🤔

I've been sicker than a mofo for the last 48 hours and my throat has been extremely sore (again). And to my sudden surprise a shareholders meeting transcript popped up today. I'll be going through it and I've already seen a few sections in the Q&A that hit close to things I've had concerns again. If I can tough through it, I'll drop a short video about this with my thought ahead of part 2 look at Cover's financial report.

Content update: What went wrong with Cover Corp - Part 2 has been story boarded and scripted. I've also story boarded the preview for AnyColor. Since there's time between now and AnyColor's info release, the Cover video will go up first. Weather has been killer on my nerve pain. NGL, even though I'm inside, I can feel the cold radiating through my walls and windows. And it's not even midnight yet but it's supposed to drop another 8-10 degrees. 🥶🥶
