Tomorrow's video is a little bit different - we finally sort the Sony SL-HF950 from part 1 some 2 years ago! Broken plastic parts and life got in the way of getting this machine finally finished but it is now done! Part 2 shows the machine finally working as it should and since, it's had the final touches to really bring it back from it's potential last destination of a loft.

Slightly different video for tomorrow insofar as it's series 2 of Quick Look! These will come out on Saturdays and Wednesdays and there will still be repair videos mixed in with these on some Saturdays too.
Lots more to come on the channel too so don't forget to subscribe (and make sure you're still subscribed as YouTube seem to be doing odd things at the moment!).
Thanks as always for your support, comments and views - all very much appreciated. 😊

I'm taking a break from the long-form videos for a few weeks but instead there will be a series 'Quick Look' videos showing future projects and just how good (or bad) they are. There will also be episodes on Wednesday's too. 😊

This Saturday's video will be a late one - super busy with work and capacitors that I needed took a lot longer to arrive but the machine is in theory now a fully working one! As I type, it's back together but not tested - will it work? Find out when the video finally gets released! By the way, it's the Panasonic NV-V8000! Exciting times!

Today's video will be released a little later than normal, probably around 7pm (Sorry - it's taking a long time to render!). I've literally just finished editing the video having finished the Sony TT-F1F and SL-F1F repairs earlier today. Look forward to seeing you there. 😊

Post: Today's video will be a bit later today but it's a quiz and quite a few machines! Answers to the quiz will be out on Friday next week. 😊

Help: It's a long shot but does anyone have a spare syscon and HD PWB (the back PCB under the head pre-amp can that includes the A/V in/out connections) for an NEC PVC-740 Betamax? If you do you would be a complete life saver and would help get a low hours machine up and running and off to a new home to be cherished. Thank you as always. 😊

Help: It's a long shot but does anyone have a PDF of the service manual for the NEC PVC-740 or know where I could find one?

Update: I've been super busy and running out of storage space so as well as today's Sony Betamax video they'll be the final part of the new old stock C7 video on Wednesday and we get it all sorted and working well!

Follow my dream of working on kit I wished I could have worked on back in the day plus revisiting kit I frequently did see a lot of. Lots of great Betamax repairs including lots of Sony kit which I just never had the access to back in the late 80's and 90's when I worked as a TV and Video engineer. All sorts of other kit covered too including V2000, N1500/N1700, VHS (of course!) plus IT kit repairs too. Also projectors, Minidisc, CD players, DVD and well really anything you can think of so come join the fun and my great editing techniques - we have a lot to get through! :-)
