Ok - here we go. This is a day that Iāve been looking forward to for months now (It feels like Iāve been keeping some kind of beautiful secret or something.) Iāve been working on a project and couldnāt be more excited to have my friend @karijobe singing on this first song with me! This song yallā¦so special. I feel like I can gush over it because I didnāt write it. A friend of mine sent it to me a couple years ago (written by @prayerandworship_). This song has helped me refocus and recenter my heart. Had the chance this weekend to lead some songs off of my most recent album for the very first time (still have a little ājoy hangoverā from it!) Brings back sweet memories for me. Feeling the gratefulness today! Itās a beautiful life!
These are the things I pray over my kids. I went into this recording with that on my heartā¦and then something wild happened to me. I was getting ready to sing this song and then I realized āI want this for my kids, but I also want them for meā and I kinda emotionally lost it. I imagine this being something we hope for the ones we love. And imagine itās something the Father hopes for us as well. Video for āHopes For Youā is up now. Iām praying the lyrics continue to make their way past my ears and into my heart.
