Since we are smack dab in the middle of a snowy winter here in Upstate NY, and much of the northeast. I thought I would warm things up a little and think about where we will be in about 5 months. Enjoy one of last year's hay making videos.

A year ago today, Cobb Hill Farms debuted our first video here on YouTube. We had no idea what we were doing. After 105 videos and a few shorts, 333,860 plus views and 2,340 subscribers we still don't know what we are doing. We are thankful for each and every person that has taken the chance on a new channel like ours. In a sea of great farming channels out there it's amazing that people take a few minutes of their day to watch what we have going on in our lives and be so supportive of what we are doing. We might be a small channel, but we never expected to be where we are in just one short year. Let's see where year two takes us.

In today's video (How to build a low cost/low maintenance chicken house). How many times did you hear the train horn in the background. The tracks are approx. 1 mile from the farm.

It's been a very, very busy last couple of weeks here as we continue to get our farm ready for our upcoming wedding. To say the least there hasn't been a lot of time for making videos. But we are nearing the end of the preparation stage, so I am hoping in the next week or so to get back to 3 videos a week as we get back to what's normal living here on the farm. We here at Cobb Hill Farms just want to thank everyone that has continued to watch our videos and grow our channel while we have been kind of scarce around here as of late. Its so greatly appreciated.

The purpose of Cobb Hill Farms YouTube Channel is to show case a first-generation small family farm that literally started out with nothing but an old barn, a couple old tractors and a dream. We want to take you through the evolution of our farm over time and how we can make a living from a small farm practical and a way of life by being self-sufficient.
We are a small direct-to-consumer livestock farm located in western NY. We provide pasture raised beef, pork, chicken & eggs to our local community. We practice sustainable land practices that utilize natural methods to keep our soils/pastures healthy and our animals happy.
