We're an over 65 couple who started hiking/backpacking in 2017. We've done 2 Rim to Rims in the Grand Canyon, a 100-mile AT section in 2018, and lots of local hiking.
Our Appalachian Trail thru hike attempt started in 2020, but after 241 miles, we reluctantly got off trail 3/20/2020. We did 1100 miles in 2021, but 3 surgeries for Rich, including bilateral hip replacement, meant we finished on Katahdin on 9/6/22!
Laurel's treatment of a rare lung infection required a pivot to travel trailer camping for the foreseeable future. But we're out here hiking again, and hope you'll come along on the adventures!
We'll share videos about hiking, our Winnebago Micro Minnie, off grid camping, towing, state and national parks, etc. We're learning as we go!
