Photos of the USS Somerset's VBSS team. They had a lot more time in the North Arabian Gulf and I was jealous the entire time. All sorts of vessels would come for a visit and these fellas provided a buffer. During this time we witnessed a sandstorm at sea. One of the most bizarre occurrences. The whole ship, our boats, everything was covered in dust and we were 25 nautical miles from land. There's something mystical about the Middle East. The birthplace of our civilization. Hopefully you get to see it at least once in your lifetime. Just don't tell them you're American.
