Matt Smith has reportedly been cast as a villain along side Ryan Gosling in the upcoming Star Wars: Starfighter movie, coming 2027 (via Deadline)
Mia Goth was also reported to be a villain in the film directed by Shawn Levy, script by Jonathan Tropper.
Matt Smith was considered to play a young Palpatine back in The Rise of Skywalker so they must have really seen a strong potential for him in Star Wars to bring him back!

Details of the new George Lucas Museum of Narrative Art were revealed at Comic Con yesterday. Located in Exposition Park Los Angeles, the Museum will feature life size models of Anakin’s N1 Starfighter, Luke’s landspeeder and general Grievous on his wheel bike.
The museum will be 300,000 square feet and feature 2 theaters, 33 galleries, an event hall and a library!
Original concept art for Indiana Jones, vintage comic issues from Marvel and DC, a mythology exhibit, Frida Kahlo paintings, original Flash Gordon, Black Panther and Iron Man art will also be on display.
