Sewwandi Weerasinghe is a Sri Lankan Singer living on the west coast in Ontario. She was born and
raised in Colombo Sri Lanka. During her school days, Sewwandi had participated in some singing
competitions. Her hobby and passion to learn different styles of music and wanted to make whatever
contribution she can in her own small way to the Sri Lankan music industry. She had also studied Indian
classical music.
Sewwandi has collaborated with the biggest names of the Sri Lankan music industry like, Mihindu
Ariyaratne, singing a duet which was known as “Asi Piyan”, as well as “Adare Do Me with Bachi Susan
Her first solo song was Mathakaya, and had released many other solo songs like Digu Gamane, Thani
Wela, Unmade, Sanda Eliye.
Sewwandi likes to continue her music carrier by contributing different styles of music to Sri Lankan
music industry.
