Grabbed some clips from my old vid on the tankers used in decades old material (for the upcoming Praetor Mark II-class battlecruiser vid), and it was funny to see how intense the anger was toward The Last Jedi fuel scene, I genuinely forgot that was a thing, people were pissed since "there was never fuel in Star Wars before Disney" but beyond the funny drama it is packed full of logistics lore most people don't know. If you want to check it out here ya go

The Colour Out of Space by H.P. Lovecraft (book club talk) ‪@metanerdz‬ is now live! https://youtu.be/NIEphTziP4o
And if you want to hear me read it, listen at ‪@TimelessTexts‬ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3nRX...

This one is considered one of the first Cosmic Horror stories, written in March 1927. Lovecraft considered it his best work, and Stephen King agreed. If you are a King fan you will pick up on some themes he would put into some his most famous works.

Kicking off spooky season on our book club style podcast on ‪@metanerdz‬ with H.P. Lovecraft. I have loved his stuff for a while, but my wife had never read anything from him. So we started with the 4 classic stories from him. His very first work he ever wrote, the funniest, one I like and Dagon which is a great intro to the cthulhu mythos.

🚀Foundation series: www.youtube.com/playlist?list...
🤖 Robot series: youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6...

It is the most fun I've had in a while, reading through great works with my wife and we take notes, highlights, and talk through books. Usually in a few parts per book, but we have a ton of stuff already I think any Sci-fi or horror fans would like. Specifically for Star Wars and Mass Effect fans, if you don't know Asimov's two greatest series you should definitely check it out. We already read the main 5 Foundation books, and book 2 is coming out on Robots.

What do you think of this meme? A cool detail you might have noticed in stuff like the Clone Wars show is that normal people often don't even know there is a difference between Jedi and Sith, I mention in the upcoming Ventress vid that she contributes to this being a trained jedi with dual green sabers, who hunts down warlords like a sith lord, so most lay people in universe just think they're all good or bad jedi, which actually is pretty accurate.

This will make you mad lol. I'm very near to posting the "Complete Life of Ventress" and there is a whole section of her life where she was hunting down warlords across the crime lord ridden world of Rattatak. She is avenging her Jedi Master, so it has a batman vibe, and it hit me how good of a game this would have made. She is alone and torn between her Jedi teachings, and the call of the dark side as she goes deeper and deeper into madness as she hunts down these thugs. And she builds up a whole empire of her own in the process, like the Shadow of Mordor games.

Does that not sound like an amazing game concept?

Check out our new book club podcasts! ‪@metanerdz‬ I really mean it, it has been good for the soul to have multi hour talks about these great works, I think a lot of you will really like it too.

Instead of just complaining about lackluster new media, me and my wife have been really enjoying getting back into reading. Join us in the laid book club vibe as we read through classic sci-fi to modern horror and more. Laughing, rambling and debating, pulling quotes and making real world connections, I think anyone interested in these books will love to join this sort of digital book club.

We have read Isaac Asimov's Foundation Series books 1-5, and started into The Robots Series, finished The Caves of Steel and Naked Sun, just started The Robots at Dawn. And we have up the Bill Hodges trilogy by Stephen King.

If this sounds interesting to you head over and check it out, we are really enjoying this so I hope you guys will too.

Coming soon! Finally making the series from the Star Wars 1998 series, which leads into the Republic series. 115 comics over 26 story arcs, which are some of the best stories in SW. Some of with you have likely seen snippets of by myself and other youtubers. I must say it is very funny to see how different some of the things were compared to now, right of the bat in #1, which follows Ki-Adi-Mundi on his homeworld. This image is from the advertisement for the new comic series.

Mass Effect fans, anyone know what this is? It looks like a giant human, and the context of it being in art depicting a Leviathan coming to a humanoid slave species, the humans on the right are worshipping it, on the left are throwing spears and one is downed by it. And there is that half covered one up top. I haven't been able to find any info on this what do you think?

It could be playing with stories of giants on Earth, and the Leviathan is getting humans to kill them like most cultures have famous giant slaying tales. But the ones throwing spears are under the Leviathan, and the ones worshipping it are far away from the Leviathan, so maybe these were beings Humans worshipped before the Leviathans, a different alien race?

Maybe by the end of the year I would like to make sort of complete series video on the Foundation trilogy by Isaac Asimov, but I don't know what I would use for visuals. I used AI images for the parts of the Thrawn series that we from the book, and people didn't seem to like that lol. Maybe this is commenter bias so I wanted to ask here, and if you could comment any advise on what would be better. I would pay an artist to make visuals but idk how that could work, there would be so much, that I wonder if just a static background or something, maybe it doesn't need visuals and you just listen to it. That is how I consume most things anyways, I rarely ever actual watch YouTube just listen. Any thoughts are welcome!
