An elliptical, edge on spiral, and face on spiral galaxy forming a diverse group of interacting galaxies in Draco. It took the light of these galaxies 100 million years to reach earth in order to make this photo. Imaged over three nights in May from the Kitsilano Observatory.

Comet 12P/Pons-Brooks on the night of March 16th, 2024. This comet swings around every 70 years for a visit, so unless I start taking my supplements and eating a Mediterranean diet, this is probably my only chance to experience it. I am super happy with how this shot turned out!

I used my SW Quattro 150P, but I run it at F3 with a Starizona Nexus, so it is a Tres. The ASI183MC Pro with the Antlia RGB Ultra helped to quell the Bortle 9 light pollution, and Astro Pixel Processor is excellent for comet stacking. 30 x 120sec = 1 hour of exposure time.

The M3 globular cluster. A little BlurXterminator goes a long way on star clusters. The Edge HD does too. New videos are on the way!

Going to let the big dog eat tonight! The Planewave CDK700 at the SFU Trottier Observatory. We have been wrestling with the QHY461M PH for months, but tonight is the night to get everything working smoothly. The RASC Vancouver Centre is so very grateful to have Tuesday nights with this beautiful observatory. Let me know if you’re interested in joining our imaging group!
