The more I learn about Narcissistic family dynamics, ours is very textbook in nature. Three children, a caregiver, a golden child, and a scapegoat. The major difference I am learning is that rarely, all the kids come out united on the other side. She is enraged more than ever that she can't turn us on each other like puppets.
My only regret, was taking the bait that she was changing, or believing that she wanted to change. These people hide in plain sight and will show up as one of two things: either appearing as though their life is perfect, or playing the victim card. Both are masks and it just depends on what is more convenient at the moment.
