We’d meet once a week for 2 hours, focusing equally on:
🎼 Theory & analysis (modes, verbal/melodic phrase structure, semiology, etc.)
🎤 Live performance & feedback (refining technique, ensemble work, interpretation)
🎁 Bonus: Each participant would get one free private singing lesson with me (online or in-person if you're local)
Prerequisites for the program would include:
1. A basic understanding of square notation
2. Ability to solfège
3. Some familiarity with psalmody (chanting the Psalms)

The Gregorian Chant Academy was founded by Christopher Jasper in Jan 2021. In 2023, the GCA merged with Floriani Sacred Music and is now the educational division of Floriani, committed to bringing about a revival of Catholic Culture through the beauty of sacred music and the Catholic liturgy.
Christopher Jasper was raised in the traditional Roman liturgy from birth and has assiduously studied & sung chant for 25+ years & directed for 15+ years.
