Nerding out a bit! Robotics in spine surgery is an exciting technology that is being more widely implemented. Robots arenāt actually performing the surgery! In spine surgery, they are meant to assist surgeons with placement of hardware. Spine robots like this Mazor robot utilize navigation technology to show the surgeon where they are working within the patientās anatomy in real time - almost like an intraop GPS š”

A friendly PSA to my YouTube family ā¤ļø: I wear a mask in the OR so I donāt cough or breathe into my patients wound and cause an infection. Itās not comfortable but I do it for the safety and well-being of my patients. We should all wear masks to take care of each other. #MaskUp everyone!
