Q. What criteria did you use to select the songs from your first solo album?
JINHO: It's a story. Since I like reading novels, I thought, 'I hope every song is like a novel and has a fantasy', and I was able to make an album like a short album by gathering such songs.
Q. It's a self-written album, what part did you pay the most attention to when you wrote the lyrics?
JINHO: I wanted to make a song that everyone would like. I hope you can forget everything and feel good when you listen to my music.
Q. What are the listening points of 'Goodbye With You' and 'Teddy Bear'?
JINHO: 'My own parting' is a story of unrequited love that everyone experienced at least once when they were in school. It's a story about feeling pain alone and overcoming it in the end. 'Teddy Bear' is a story about a man who wants to be with his girlfriend who has to go home at 12 o'clock at night with the fairy tale 'Cinderella'.
Q. The use of bear dolls and animation effects in the 'Teddy Bear' music video feel special, was there a memorable episode while shooting the music video?
JINHO: It was awkward because it was the first time I met the other actor, but I didn't have time to think about the awkwardness because the weather was so hot at the time of the shooting (laughs). When I wear a bear mask, I sweat a lot in the hot weather, so I always remember shooting the scene at the end.
Q. Following Hui this year, I started a solo activity with the Pentagon. Did you give me any support or advice to each other?
JINHO: Hui did his solo activities first and told me a lot of stories. I was able to prepare easily because of a lot of support and help.
Q. What is the goal of your first solo album activity?
JINHO: Many people are curious about a person named 'Jinho' and say, 'I want to listen to the next album even if it comes out!' I hope you think like that.

This time, I dared to conduct a remote interview with WOOSEOK just before the concert. It was an interview that made me feel my growth to the present WOOSEOK, looking back on my current solo artist after working at PENTAGON.
"Make music that can give you power"
Q: Looking back on your activities since your debut as PENTAGON, what is the most impressive event?
WOOSEOK: After all, I remember the most strongly when I debuted. It was my first time debuting, so I think it has a strong impact. The next thing that comes to mind is the performance as PENTAGON. Among them, the world tour had a lot of memories, and it had a great meaning that I was able to meet UNIVERSE around the world, and it still remains in my heart as a very impressive activity. The world tour was hard, and I was physically exhausted, but I gained more than that. It's been this year that I started working solo in earnest, and I was nervous because it was my first time, but I feel satisfied that I am working hard. If I was working hard like that, it would be September in 2024 before I knew it. The happiest thing so far is to feel that I'm doing well while feeling the speed of time.
Q: It means that you are confident that you have worked hard even after becoming a solo.
WOOSEOK: I don't think anyone, including me, can make a clear decision whether it's going well or not, but in my own opinion, the fact that I can continue my work without injury, without any problems. I think it's well done.
Q: When you started your solo career, there was a fan meeting in Japan in March, and there was a song release, what kind of feeling were you doing?
WOOSEOK: As a solo, I haven't released a physical album yet, so I don't know much about such numbers, but when I released a solo song, there were many people who said they liked my song, I got a call from another artist saying it was a good song. I was happy to make a remix because of that.
Q: In May, "YOU" made with producer Taka Perry, whom I met in Australia, was also released. In this song, collaborations with various people, including Issei Uno Fifth, also became a hot topic.
WOOSEOK: As a result of this "YOU", various artists have started to contact me. At first, he just said he liked "YOU", and then he contacted me that he wanted to do it together next time. So, I thought about making a new song, but I didn't have much time to do that, and it started with the fact that I originally liked "YOU", so we decided to be together in the remix of "YOU" I did. In this process, we decided to collaborate, and a total of 4 songs "YOU" were born, including the original version.
Do you feel that the range of activities has expanded as a result of the song "YOU"?
WOOSEOK: THAT'S ALSO THERE, BUT I FEEL LIKE I'M A LITTLE CONFIDENT (LAUGHS). Of course, I'm happy to be praised by fans and those who listened to the song, but I was very happy that it was recognized that it spread among professional musicians.
Q: What kind of music do you want to do in the future as a soloist?
WOOSEOK: What I've been thinking about lately is that I want to make music that can truly empower those who listen to the song. As with the lyrics, I want to create music that gives me energy when I listen to a song and when I watch the stage. I'm still preparing for the concert and preparing a new song like that. So, that's all I'm thinking about right now. If I make a song while thinking about other things, it will detriate from the music I think, and I think such complicated thoughts will also appear in music. Therefore, I plan to make songs within the year, thinking only about "making music that can give you strength".
Q: In terms of sound, is it like easy listening?
WOOSEOK: Music is not completely easy to listen to, but it is not difficult to understand. However, I would like to continue to look for my own new and unusual music style.
Q: Have any artists been influenced so far?
WOOSEOK: I think making group songs and writing lyrics during PENTAGON's activities is the most helpful in making my current music. I started making music after I debuted as PENTAGON, so my experience at that time is all the basis. Thanks to that, I still feel familiar with making music, and music is not that difficult for me. I've been making solo songs little by little since I have been active as PENTAGON, and making music is natural to me, and I don't feel much pressure. There are many role models. That's what it is both at home and abroad. I wonder if I am the attitude of such people, I am a person who has admired such a cool figure, and I always feel that I need something unique to become such an artist.
Q: It means that you have been influenced by various artists both at home and abroad, but are there any Japanese artists you like?
WOOSEOK: I like Japanese bands. It is WANIMA who feels especially energy. Recently, I often listen to SEKAI NO OWARI's songs. I also love GREEN APPLE. It's so famous, but I also like ONE OK ROCK.
Q: There was a story earlier that the experience of group activities is useful in song production, but do you feel the difference from when you were working as a group when you were doing solo activities like this now?
WOOSEOK: THERE WERE TIMES WHEN IT WAS HARD IN THE BEGINNING. When I was in a group, the members were always by my side, so there were some good parts, but as time went by, I got used to solo activities. ( Solo activities) It was the path I chose, and it was something I decided to do myself, so I managed to adapt to it. In the meantime, even if you can't fill the empty gaps perfectly, something else will fill them. Now, the representatives and staff of the current company who came in to make a new start, and the brothers of the band who support music production by my side are by my side and help me, so I felt it at the beginning. I no longer feel emptiness or loneliness.
Also, I think it was very big to stand on the stage. When I was on stage in the group, I sang in a part with the other members, but now I sing with only my voice through one song, so there was also such pressure. I've never shown you a singing place before, and I used to only rap at PENTAGON, but now I sing and rap, which was a little embarrassing at the beginning, but I've been on stage several times. As I stood, I learned the know-how and methods, and now I am happily standing on the stage.
Q: In PENTAGON, it was impressive to see him very loved by the members as the youngest child. Did you receive any congratulations or advice from the members when you were working as a solo artist? Have you been interacting with the members recently?
WOOSEOK: There is a talk room where the members of PENTAGON interact with each other, and they often interact with everyone there. Recently, I've been a little busy with various preparations, but when I have free time or on my days off, I contact you to go out to eat together, and we play futsal together on weekends. Since we were in groups, we were alone and were a lot, so we played with the members more than with our friends, and it still seems like it continues naturally.
Q: What kind of artist do you think Mr. Usoku as a solo artist? What is the most charm point?
WOOSEOK: I think the biggest attraction is freedom and communication. Regarding these two, I felt more strongly during the recent performance. Not only my own music, but also the comments I say on stage, my attitude to fans, such as the way I speak when I stand in front of my fans and comment. When I go on stage because I want to show myself better, I get nervous and awkward.
Right now, I'm also doing a radio program, and in the same way, I feel like I'm chatting with everyone in the audience, and I feel like I'm chatting with a real friend. I also ask questions to my fans. That's what I'm free about, and I think I can feel it as a human being. On the contrary, I think I am the artist who concentrates on singing when I sing.
