From A Capella, to full rock instrumentation. From big ballads to poems. I like to think I made a lil' something for everyone. For that, I truly have YOU to thank.
You have each played a massive part in the creation of this album by introducing me to the most eclectic sample of some of our world's most wondrous artists. I carry with me a lil' piece of every artist you've shown me. The opportunity you give me to analyse what they're doing in detail each week, gives me an ever deepening perspective on music, which (I hope) seeps into my own creations.
I have made about 150 Reactionalysis episodes by now, which has certainly helped make very diverse and weird musician out of me!But please don't take my word for it. As your taste is ever impeccable, I would be honoured if you'd like to listen to it and share your thoughts. And, only if you deem it worthy, share it with your peeps.
By sharing "To Build a Sea", you would be giving me the hugest thing I have ever wished for: a chance to show you more music babies in real life AKA do shows.
So it's not just about money, it's about the reach. My long term wildest dream is come to your city, put on a show, and give you a hug. So even if I had a squillion and one £'s, I can't really put on a lil' tour if no one knows I exist and henceforth can't get a ticket ya know? Just 'cause it would be a smidgey bit awkward. (Not to mention I would probably also run out of ££'s at some point, and perhaps self esteem.)

Hello gorgeous,
I’ve been far too quiet for my liking (you know how much I love our premieres- today is the 3rd week without one 😔) so I thought I’d just tell you what’s up.
I finished my first album. Completely finished. 💿
Then I took a last minute trip to Sevilla, Spain to film a special TFVM episode in which I learn flamenco singing from one of the best singers I have EVER heard in my life. YEP. 💃
THEN I got a bit poorly (just a nasty old bug ft. Laryngeal scratchy feelings + a fever). 🤒
Gosh. It was very intense last week, checking the album mixes and stuff. We tweaked and tweaked until we over tweaked, then we un-tweaked before tweaking some more. It’s definitely done now though, so now I have like 5 weeks to figure out how to release it.
👽 I have no idea what I’m doing 👽
I have invested quite a lot into this album. Being printed this week are 200 CDS with full lyric booklets (and each lyric page contains original artwork and handwritten lyrics), 160 T- Shirts (sizes S- 5XL!) and hundreds of stickers and lil’ cards to put in the lil’ “Lolli packs” that I will be personally assembling. I’ll make these available for pre-order in a couple of weeks time. This should give enough time for everything to be made and for me to take highly glamorous photos of them.
Needless to say, a ginormous investment 🥲It was a bit of a gamble to spend all that money on this because I still don’t know how many of you want this sort of thing, or if you’d rather Spotify it. Either way is great for me of course! The more people stream it, the more people will find it (kinda like YouTube I think). Don’t worry about telling me your preference though cause I’ve already had everything made anyway. 🙃
Worse case scenario, my great great great grandchildren will inherit hundreds of items of Lolli Wren memorabilia. I am sure they will be absolutely thrilled.
ANYWAY, back to the point that I have no idea what I’m doing.🪼
I’d like your advice on something.
I am wondering if I should release another one of the songs as a single first? I have released 2/10 album tracks so far, and now I can’t decide (see what I did there 😉) if releasing yet another one would help promote the album, or if it would make people less excited about it. Would it be too much is revealy-ness? Will that mean my album will leave less to the imagination and hence forth less to be desired? Will she end up ignored and scantily clad, dusty on the shelf? Alas, I do not know.
I wanna know what you think. About everything really. You always give such great advice.
Oh and what do you reckon about November 8th as a release date? Is this a good date? Does anything good happen on November 8th? Or should it be like, November 10th? Or November 11th maybe!?! 11/11. Sounds good to me.
Sorry, that was a lot of questions.

Well, the entire album but one... our #STS will conclude tomorrow, with my edited-from-a-live-stream reactionalysis of the album's last song, 'Euclid'.
But for now, let's celebrate.. uh... Vessel Vednesday (VV) (🤦♀️) with a song that boasts a most magnificent acronym, "DYWTYLM" or "Don't Yell While The Yak's Lover Mourns" (or something).
Talking of incredible harsh vocalists, my dear friends Elizabeth & Kirk @TheCharismaticVoice are raising money for harsh vocal research via a platform called 'kickstarter'! They have already raised a mind blowing $254,411 USD!! This is great news for the field of study that I love so deeply.
You can pledge Elizabeth as little as $2 to become part of the foundations for this exciting project that will help us understand more about our magical instrument. I personally couldn't click fast enough! I believe in Elizabeth and I am so grateful for what she does to support music and voiceyness.

Hello Gorgeous! Today's video has JUST been blocked 🫠

Hello Gorgeous,
I am currently in my office inside a blanket with my fingers poking out to type this message. I am a contemporary human-like squirrel. Anyway.
EVERYTHING JUST TAKES BLOODY HOURS. GOODNESS GRACIOUS.
I uploaded the first single of my album and the music video today. They will be out on April 7th. The preparation and details are so intense! The last time I did any of this stuff was when I was 17 uploading my first lil’ EP. The cover art of which was a photo of me (that was the wrong size) with my name in ‘Times New Roman’, which I fashioned myself on Microsoft paint. I put a bit more effort in this time.
But yeah! My musical endeavours have just required so much of my attention now that they are ready to be released. Like babies ready to be born. My brain is having contractions every day and I have to just push. Well maybe, I don't know because I have never had a human baby. But I am about to have 10 song babies. I guess.
I have still been filming reactionalysis videos! I remain your loyal TFVM! They are in production as always, I just need more time than usual to finish them so it’s a bit tricky to commit to our Fairy Folk Friday premieres right now.
I’ll go live next week to check in and remind thee of thine gorgeousness. I will also be uploading some little videos to Patreon this week too to answer all the questions you have asked me over there in detail.

I hope you're having a sensational Sunday filled with love and pancakes.
I don't intend to bog you down with my personal music projects, for here, I am proudly your Fairy Voice Mother. I just thought i'd pop a link to a premiere happening today. This is one of the first of many musical works I will soon be posting on my other channel, 'Lolli Wren', for those of you that might be new here and didn't know it existed.
'Hurt' probably has enough versions already, even just between the original by Trent Reznor and the overwhelmingly haunting version by Johnny Cash. But hearing how they could both tell their respective stories of sadness through this magical song in such different yet equally as powerful ways, I suppose wanted to see if could tell it too.
Singing this song turned out to be a very cathartic opportunity for me to talk about the darkest time in my life. Vulnerable, intense and desperate. It was important healing for me to acknowledge how awful I used to feel, because it paved part of the path that lead me here.
ON A LIGHTER NOTE my first album, 'To Build a Sea' is on it’s way to tell the full story, in my own words this time, of the last 6 years or so or my life. 6 years of paving stones. A path of confusion, excitement, frustration, anxiety, numbness, acceptance, serenity, joy and eternal hope- told through music with just as many genres!

I have a degree in vocal performance, and I am studying for a masters degree in voice pedagogy.
