Last Sunday saw the launch of our new little publishing house - @indian.summer.press on Instagram - and our first comic, The Sun is Made of Silver #1, at Indie Comix Fest New Delhi!
Co-author and comics artist extraordinaire Nikhil Gulati (@oddball_comics on Instagram) and I met with dozens and dozens of readers and supporters (no photos of the busy times because...who had the time or the hands?) and I got an addicting taste of being on the other side of the table, both as a writer and as a publisher.

Where have I been? [Part 2]
And reason No. 2 (see previous post below for full context) is that I've been setting up a tiny little comics publishing house!
And since we're starting from 0 - no office, no staff, no money 😁 - I've been working on my very first comic, as a sort of 'money where your mouth is' offering!
I'm collaborating with a wonderful writer-artist for this story, and more updates will follow very soon!
But here's a sneak peek at a preliminary logo design for this, our latest FtLoC venture.
For all of you, the supporters of the channel and my endeavours, I'd love to start a chronicle here of how things go, step by step.
It's impossible for me to convey how excited I am, but I hope it comes through anyway and infects you all!

My latest video, The Top 10 Comics for Kids (That Adults Will Also Love) unexpectedly ended up being one of the most technically demanding videos I've done.
45 minutes of footage to cut down to 15, 10 separate reels of B Roll to be edited and processed, 11 pieces of music to be remixed and balanced, more than two dozen images to be made consistent, an animated overlay for the side borders, and an accidental 60FPS A Roll/timeline all converged in a perfect storm!
Thus, the first edited video of 2025 features every single videomaking thing I've learned and experimented with in the last few years, and I'm very happy with the way it turned out.
