Meet the Duo
Hailing from Soshanguve, dynamic musical duo ShaunMusiq and Ftears began their journey in 2018. In 2019, they solidified their collaboration when Ftears taught Shaun the art of DJing, expanding his expertise beyond hip-hop production. Inspired by the vibrant musical scene of Pretoria, the pair found their sound in the rising wave of Amapiano and Bacardi music, igniting a passion for creating music that resonates with their roots.
First of Many
In 2021, ShaunMusiq and Ftears released their debut album, Skrr Thang II, marking the beginning of a promising career. Their momentum continued in 2022 with the release of the hit single Thateka, which took the industry by storm, amassing over a million views on YouTube. Known for their versatility and creativity, the duo has collaborated with industry heavyweights such as Daliwonga, Myztro, Mellow & Sleazy, Robot Boii, and Freddy K, cementing their place as rising stars in the South African music scene.
