For those of you who film with a camera 📸and not a phone 📱, what camera are you all using and also what stands are you using to enable a good overhead shot.
I'm thinking of giving my phone a break and swapping over, but want a nice simple set up haha

Hey my loves, I have the first of the skin tones series coming up tomorrow. I have set it as a live premiere as usual.
However, our clocks have gone back an hour with the end of daylight savings so the times will be different to usual, the video is also 2hrs and 15 mins long.
I've popped some of the new time zone examples below, let me know if you would like me to keep it as a live premiere where we can chat about the topic still or if it's too long or the timing doesn't suit would you prefer it posted as a standard video.

I’m preparing for our next colour combo series. Please vote below and let me know which pencil brand you’d like to see next out of the 4 options below.
We will eventually be doing all of these plus more 😁

I’ve started sketching out some rough combos (as per pic).
The combos we’ll be using below are more along the advanced lines by using purple, blue, green and red as undertones.
However I will also add in a simpler combo which can match each skin tone that can be used on more simple or even cartoon style pictures or small faces where there isn’t much room for all this layering (think Lulu Mayo, Hanna Lynn etc).
I’ve used a pic I purchased from Christine Karron’s Etsy to come up with my combos.
I was planning to just show both advanced and beginner combinations in the combo video (not colouring each of the mini portraits). Then do a separate video showing how to colour using one of the combos maybe in Wildflower Folk by Christine Karron. Being that it’s a combo video and not a ‘how to’. We can do the ‘how to’ in the book.
Or would you prefer for me to colour each little portrait in the combo video as well? If so, would you prefer a worksheet so you could follow along? If so, does anyone know an existing free resource for skin practice, if not I can make my own.
So… that was a long post, hope my rambling makes sense lol but I’d rather capture everything the first time then miss things that you really want or need ❤️

Hey guys, I’ve just started working on the skin combinations but I wanted to know whether you would prefer I did a basic beginners combo with say around a 4(ish) colour blend to start with that’ll have highlights, mid tones and shadows. Or are you after more in depth advanced combinations with undertones and glazes etc with warm and cool tone versions?
I’ll be doing about 6 different skin tone types varying from fair to very dark.
