We prayed for hours but the dead boy didn't rise.
At some point, I told the parents we have to let go.
But I told them I was convinced God didn't kill their child and would never do such evil.
I also told them I am sorry, I must have failed to raise the child, I take the responsibility, I know God is faithful.
Something must be wrong but I am sure it is not God!
I was sure not to deflect the failure to God.
Well, some people will say 'oh I can't sleep at night knowing I failed to raise the dead', I said 'I will sleep better if I know I failed rather than God failed, it will be far more devastating to know God failed'.
Anyways, some years later, I had gone to preach at a meeting and there came a woman coming towards me with joy and glow, she described herself, turns out she is the mother of that child I couldn't raise, she said 'do you know the Lord later told me why my child was not raised? You see when he was born, the doctor had told me of a condition he would have and I had lived in fear of that, so when he died I was so fearful, all the while we prayed, it wasn't in faith but the Lord had healed me and now I have another child'.
You, she later figured exactly what went wrong that day. God is faithful!

In the equation of faith, once you are unsure what the will of God is, nothing else matters!
You cannot credit death to God and at same time contend to raise the dead, faith has no duplicity of logic!
