Ever play Snake? 🐍 🍎
Throwback to this awesome outdoor garden project that was a blast to work on. 🙌
Recycled red bricks are always interesting to work with because a little piece of history is laid with each one. 📚

Proud to say that I have qualified my first apprentice at Bricks by Ty - James! 🧱
James has worked very hard throughout his 'Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying' apprenticeship and dedicated himself to being the best he can be in this great trade. 🙌
I wish him all the best as he begins his career as a qualified bricklayer 👊💥

I was fortunate enough to be apart of a super interesting project which took incredible precision and a great deal of time and care. 🎯
The client was ecstatic about the finished product, as I was myself. This was definitely a fun challenge, as it allowed me to really dial into the details of making this vision a reality. 🙌
Something to note on the curved part - I marked out and cut the floorboard myself to ensure a perfect curve for my brickwork, which ultimately allowed the key feature on this project to really shine. 🌟
This is a feature bench with stack bond + soldier course along the bottom which wraps around with the curve to meet the fireplace area, which will be installed on top of it in the future, so I will provide an update once that happens. 👊💥🧱
If you would like any architectural brick work or anything fancy like this, send us a message at Bricks by Ty or contact us at tsiennabusiness@gmail.com for any enquiries! 🤝

After 5 long years... I finally decided to replace my toolbox.
I've had this same toolbox since I started in bricklaying... from my apprenticeship days, all the way through the Bricks by Ty era. ⏳️
I suppose there is a bit of sentimental value now on this old toolbox...
Both are steel, which I always preferred over hard plastic, which is now what a lot of the toolboxes are made of these days.
Unfortunately I lost the lid on the original, but it was also in orange like the new one. 🛠
RIP Toolbox.
Amazing how long some things last!

Hey everyone!
It has officially been one year since I started my bricklaying business and built my first home. As some of you are aware, I also started my YouTube channel at the same time, documenting every single bit of progress along the way.
A lot has happened since then with plenty of ups and downs, and I'm grateful for every opportunity that has come by. We've managed to work with a few builders now, doing all sorts of projects and have gained a lot of experience in what it really takes to run a business.
None of this could have happened without my team and those who have worked within the business casually, my family and most importantly, my partner Mel who has been behind the scenes every step of the way to make Bricks by Ty what it is today.
I'm currently on holiday and will be returning soon, with my team holding down the fort. There is lots to be achieved and the sky is the limit. The future is bright at Bricks by Ty.
Thank you! 🧱🙏
