LOVE IN THE BIG CITY ๐ โค๏ธ
I really had an amazing experience watching this show. I always wanted to read the novel , but the book is quite expensive that I couldn't handle . So as a person who prefers to visualize everything from the authors view, I was quite sad that I've to watch the show first. Eventhough , I was not able to leave it unwatched just because of the main factor and the core of the show, Nam Yoon su .
So starting with praising the diva , mr. Nam yoon su. First for bravely accepting this role and secondly, for the way he stood up against all the negative comments from those toxic homophobic people. And I'm even more surprised after knowing that he rejected two kdramas just for this role!!!
Then coming to the show , I want to say that I enjoyed it very much . And the main reason for that it explores the raw life of a human being like I've never seen before in any bls. We're getting plenty of bls which tries to normalize queer concepts by making them more colourful by hiding those reality. I'm not saying that its wrong and I believe that it really succeded in changing mindset of people in a good way. But we've to realize the truth too. Life is not that much colourful , especially for a queer person. and that's what this show focuses on....
I liked everything about the show . most importantly the character Go Young . Yoon Su did a great job in portraying the character . I was able to see how the development of his character connected with each and every person coming throughout his life. And luckily , he always had someone when he is in need. Like "a friend in need is a friend indeed". But I'm quite disappointed that he didn't use that opportunity well . If he had, he would've never attempted to end his life. I'm not getting much deeper 'cuz it may be a spoiler if you guys have not seen yet. Then another thing I need to mention is the friendship between Mi ae and Go Young . Eventhough it was very short, it was splendid indeed!!!
Apart from that they beautifully showed us the relationship between a mother and son .
Go Young had so many relations throughout the show, but the one caught me the most is with the character Gyu Ho โค๏ธ I still believe that they're perfect for each other and I'm quite sad that they not ended up together. If the creators want to make a second season, I'm already seated but you guys have to bring Gyu Ho back to Seoul ๐โโ๏ธ
Last but not least, I really liked the way they presented ' Kylie ' in the show... It's something we need to be discussed!! ( I'm not doing it now because it's already so long)
If someone says' love in the big city ' is a good love story, they must've got it wrong. It's far beyond just a love story, which explores the emotions of human relations....

The Only one - So much expectations since I get to know that this is from the same director of ' Your Name Engraved Herein ' . And I was sure that watching this show is not going to be easy ๐ As imagined,it succeeded my expectations!!!!
Fell in love with the characters like I've never been. And I'm clearly aware that the actors Dong Qin and Benjamin Tsang , who portrayed the roles of Jiang Tian Sheng Wang has a great role in making this show heart touching ๐ฅน The chemistry between them is off the charts!!!
I was not sure how the step brother plot is gonna unravel in this show. But up until the penultimate episode, without being sure how this is gonna wrap , I was deeply immersed in the great bond between the leads, which couldn't be named as love or friendship. And surprisingly, I was enjoying it the most!!!! The way they care for each other.... I really wished if I had someone like this.
It got an ending which could be termed as undefined or an open ending, leaving possibilities for an another season.... But I liked it , Unspoken feelings.... it's not a full stop , it's just a beginning of a long journey to the moment when you reveal those to your loved one ๐
The other thing which I liked more is the slow pacing of the story. It was required for the development of the characters Jiang Tian and Sheng Wang.
For me, this show was perfect in base of acting, pacing, cinematography, ost and everything ๐
And I still don't want to say goodbye ' cuz it was my comfort show ๐ญ Kindly hoping for a second season ๐ฅน
