Sabbir Nasir disappeared from music in 1998 for 20 years and built a successful career in the corporate world but music found a way back into his life. He developed a profound interest in Spirituality back in 2006 and his curiosity prompted him to travel to different parts of the world. Sufism inspired him to translate a three-part book series called Maqalat-e-Shams-e-Tabrizi which portrays the discourse of Shams- e- Tabrizi, the mentor of the legendary Sufi poet, Jalaluddin Rumi. Sabbir Nasir started his music back again in 2018. This versatile singer sang in very diverse genres e.g. Folk, Rock, Blues, EDM, Sufi etc. His most famous singles are Binodini Rai, Amare Dia Dilam Tomare, Chan Rate, Dhonno Dhonno, Poka, Aboltabol, Tumi Dome Dom, Adha, Horsho etc. He was recognised in Global Music Awards 2020, won CJFB, Channel I and Babisas awards for his various songs. His English song Drowning was featured in famous international music magazines and blogs.
