Hey! No video this week, we’re visiting family and friends. Gonna be back late April but we have videos prerecorded! Hopefully by the time we’re back the ice is melted and we can safely row to the island 🏝️ 🛶

Hey guys! This week we tried going to the island, but the lake was just not frozen enough to walk on and we couldn't row there either. Here is a picture from this trip.
We're going to post a video next Sunday of us trying to get there (but failing lol) and we thought it would be a good time to answer any questions you guys have. If you have a question you want us to answer in the video, you can leave it on this post!
This was the last time we could make it to the island this year, as we're going to be spending time with our families for the holidays. Thank you everyone for all the support, we could have never imagined such an amazing 2024. Can't wait to get back to work and focus fully on the island in 2025 as I am finally done with school!
Happy holidays!

Hey guys! This week we went to the island to work on the cabin, but we got hit with a snowstorm and almost got stuck on the island. We also broke another camera lol. We have around 10 minutes of footage from this trip, which was supposed to be our usual 2 day trip but we ended up coming back home. It's was very chaotic and because of this we have no video for this Sunday. Would you guys prefer a short 10 min snowstorm video or no video this week and add the footage to next week's video?

🌲 Welcome to our off-grid island in the Finnish wilderness. The island is completely secluded, has no electricity or plumbing and currently has nothing on it but trees. We want to turn this island into a fully functioning summer cottage with a log cabin, sauna and other amenities.
🔨 There's a lot of work to be done as the island is over 2.5 acres (1 hectare) and we have no experience in off-grid living, carpentry or building. So any tips or advice are greatly appreciated, as we are planning on doing everything ourselves and transforming the island into our own little paradise. We’ll document every step of the way, starting from smaller builds to finally - an off-grid log cabin.
🌞 So, hit that subscribe button and join us on this adventure. It won’t be fast, it won’t be easy, but it will be fun and challenging. We don’t know what to expect, so be a part of the journey.
