Srila Narottama Dasa Thakura was the only disciple of Srila Lokanath Gosvami.
The grandeur of his poems is highly appreciated by the Gaudiya Vaisnavas even today. In his famous literary poems ā Prarthana and Prema bhakti Chandrika, Narottama Dasa Thakura expresses his Vipralambha bhava (mood of separation) from Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
Narottama Dasa Thakura was the one who inaugurated the first Gaura Poornima festival after the disappearance of Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

Appearance Day of Varahadeva
Srila Jayadeva Gosvami describes the 3rd incarnation of Krishna as follows:
āO Kesava! O Lord of the universe! O Lord Hari, who have assumed the form of a boar! All glories to You! The earth, which had become merged in the Garbhodaka Ocean at the bottom of the universe, sits fixed upon the tip of Your tusk like a spot upon the moon.ā
Srila Bhaktivinoda ThÄkura describes that the two tusks of Varahadeva touched Sri dham Vrindavana and Sri dham Mayapur simultaneously while lifting the earth.
All Glories to such a blissful avatÄra, for looking at this transcendental boar incarnation, the inhabitants of heavenly planets (demigods) became relieved from the fear of Hiranyaksha.
Chant extra rounds of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra for the pleasure of Varahadeva.

Complete Nirjala fast till 12 PM to honour Lord Varaha Deva Appearance Day
which falls on Dwadashi Day. After 12 PM of ( 8 FEB 2025 ) usual Ekadashi Fasting to be followed.
Kindly avoid grains.
Keep fast and Chant more and more rounds of Mahamantra for the pleasure of Krishna.

Sri Ramanujacharya Teachings
On the banks of Kavari, he instructed his disciples in 64 matters, out of which two were of great importance and were hence accepted by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
