hey guys, i have been idling for most of the time past month, then someone decided to post gameplay screenshots in the server and suddenly all my motivation comes back :)
I've pre-heated a new update to Breeze, now version 9.2 - titled Global Warming & No Cooldown >:)
- REMOVED STARTING RECHARGE OF PLANTS
- Added level 3-61 to 3-80 (FF, FC, NMT)
- Entirely REWORKED frosting mechanics
- Added Guard Pepperpult
- 5 new survival levels
- 5 bonus levels
- New Main Menu background, credits to Exculiation

It's been a while since the last Breeze update. A lot of busy-ness irl and i had to run all over the place for a good few months. Now I somewhat have got some of the time back, here's an update on the mod. Demo v8.0!

- Added level 3-21 to 3-40
(i forgot what are the new plants, just check the image lol)
- Added 2 pinata groups in the shop
- New Electric Blueberry challenges with plant-swapping puzzles! (video above)
- New global gimmick: Fences - those are just glorified unbreakable gravestones, they will block straight shots & lane-changing shots while not using up lawn estate.
- Plant reworks:
Kernel pult has 100% butter rate! - just enough to pernamently stall a single zombie.
Splitpea shoots 4 peas from the back head.
Lightning Reed has 3x3 range but much more efficient chaining attack.
- Fixed missing stats for Potato Mine, buffed Gold Leaf & Sun Bean.
...and a this-version-only hard-mode quest for those who don't enjoy having a healthy life. I didn't even test them. Hope y'all happy now, the invisible players in my head

I remembered about the mod again, whoops
the mod is officially called Breeze! this time in demo v7.0:
- Added level 3-1 to 3-20, with lv3 zombies (141% HP, 120% Dmg)
- Accessible plants: Pumpkin & Stallia
These plants are also in the game but not given officially yet:
Chilibean, Sunbean, Grapeshot, Ghostpepper, Thymewarp, Rotobaga, Pyrevine, Redstinger, Moonflower, Lavaguava, Dandelion (you can unlock them by buying seed packets in the unintended-pinata tab)
- Mentionable reworks:
Ghostpepper protects the plant under, similar to eclise's, with 30s lifetime and low dps
Moonflower has low cost, fast recharge, zombies ignore it, the more moon on the lawn the more they produce, the playstyle is like classic sunflower spam!
Dandelion is an upgraded version of Homing
- *Zen garden* is here, with a handful amount of 89 plant slots.
- Added DEMO *Endless Zone*: similar to GT system, where the levels are a bit shorter but ramps up difficulty really quickly (that's the minimum possible amount i can do tbh)
- Added Emergency Missiletoe: another guard plant like Guard Squash, you can use her to launch a frost bomb to the zombies (mostly **one shot** per level), Emergency Missiletoe is only used in endless zone right now, she might appear on the main adventure later. Current max level is 13
Balancing:
- Goldtiles now give 100 sun on first planting (Goldleaf buff)
- Gargantuars attackbox shifted 1/6 tile to the right, matching their weapons better (revered just a bit from the latest buff)
- Cherryboomb, Jalapeno, Powerlily CD: 70 → 60
The apk are also updated with the app icon and a non-full lawn version for the really-long phones, if you just want the new icon, you can redownload the apk and run it, no files configuring required

what's new from demo 4.2:
- added level 2-31 to 2-60
- now accessible plants: nightshade (gt), splitpea (gt), currant, apple, powerlily, chardguard (gt), citron, starfruit (new)
- plant food feature is now accessible (from lv2-51 onward) along with a lot of re-balancing from GT
- new world map interface, replacing the traditional maps
- 2 new plant challenges: tallnut & spikerock
- new plant quest system: a level chain in which you unlock the plant right after the first one, the rest of the quest are increasing-challenges that reward you packets for said featured plant. the first plant quest is starfruit - unlocked after level 2-60.
- added plant food testing level
- slightly increased amount of packets you get from shop
- new shop UI
- new in the shop: free 60 pinatas for 4 random plants (15 each) every 8 hours, it costs more coins the more you buy but the first purchase is always 1 coin.
- yeti event is enabled, for every 3 yetis hunted, you'll be rewarded with a bunch of world packets
- sunflower cost: 200 → 150, average net sun +25
- smallnut cd: 15 → 10
- pepperpult dmg: 30 → 40, fire rate: 2s → 3s
- melonpult cost: 400 → 450, splash dmg: 40 → 30
- apple dmg: 30 → 40, fire rate: 3 → 2
- bloomerang now has 0.4s stun on hit, cost: 250 → 300
- guacodile cd: 25 → 20

- gargantuar attack range extended 0.6 tile to the left, matching their weapon
- primalmine explosion area: 1x1 → 3x1 (enough to explode gargs with their new reach)

All stuff aside, I'm glad (and surprised) that some of you found the mod interesting, I'll continue it as a distraction project along with work, so thanks for that :)

on the next demo, I try to focus on the UI part of the game, here's some stuff behind it for the 3 people who showed interest in this mod :3
I decided to drop the traditional world map and go for the UI-styled one, because they take a looooot of time to make and i also have a job to deal with >.< The new thing also takes time, but not as much, and I can do indirect tutorials on the level's thumbnail as well, 1 step backward 1 step forward.
The map was going to have an area to display plants, which allowed you to keep track of your plant-unlocking progression, pinata infos, and would've looked-cool if everything is unlocked (and all wearing costumes and stuff!), but no! the hardcode said that we can't have plants unlockable with seed packets showing on the map at the same time, so I have to transfer the display area to the shop.
Now that the problem led me to the shop, i've decided to re-do its UI as well, I don't know if it's learn-able for people who don't read but i'm happy with how it is - and yep, there will be 60 "free" packets every 8 hour and options to buy more if you want to grind. Why 8 hours? because that's the only option available lol.
Since the mod is getting big, plants getting many and I can't tell if the levels are too hard or too easy for mindless players, I probably would love to have more than 1 tester for later-ons (thanks current Peak). If you're interested - um maybe I'll make a small discord for this mod and other hangout stuff? Please let me know (:

Untitled demo 4.1 is released! (same link as before as always)
thank you for all the interests and comments you left on my previous posts, my grandpa tried the mod, said it's "playable" and will try to beat the game despite not really into it... that's enough for a win to me lol
As for the mod name, i'm fine with either Abridged or Breeze tbh, so i'm calling it Breeze now (those two were the original, i made up Cetamol and Vanilla Extra just for the poll lol)
What's new from demo 3.1:
- Added level 2-1 to 2-30 (continuing from 1-60)
- Added bonus level 2-10B, 2-20B, 2-30B
- Now accessible plants: Threepeater, Jalapeno, Gooshroom (GT), Snapdragon, Stunion, Torchwood, Goldleaf (reworked), Bloomerang, Melonpult, Guacodile, Primalmine (ECL), Kiwibeast
- Added Guard Squash - a replacement of mowers in this mod: Guard Squash insta-kills any zombie that gets to column -1, 3 strikes per level. This feature will first appear on level 2-1
- Zombies now need to reach column -2 before losing you the level (1 more tile to the left)
- Added Mini Sunflower - a replacement of Starting Sun upgrade: most levels will have a Minisun preplanted, a Minisun will give you sun ONCE. Leveled Minisun gives more (but still only once). You can get Mini Sunflower packets from Bonus rewards (extra drops from normal packs), or use Gems to buy directly in the shop. This feature will first appear on level 2-11
- Updated the shop to include new packs (still figuring out how to make them appear as you progress and not just all available at once)
- Removed Eclise
- Seed packets now have new background textures and plant icons
- Added temporary world map up to level 2-60 (level 2-31 onward will crash you)
Im also dropping the custom worldmap altogether because they take a lot of time to make (which i don't have) and not worth the effort in general. I'll consider going with the UI-style worldmap this time, but that's not on the priority list
Plant balancing:
- Iceburg CD: 20 → 15, chill duration: 24 → 18
- Spikeweed leveling now spread dmg upgrades across all levels
Not included in this demo:
- Plant texts (preview in seed chooser, almanac descriptions)
Features still not intended/not yet decided:
- Everything in the shop except for the "Promoted" section and cheats
- Travel log's old quests
- Zen garden
