We are so bloody stoked to learn that Look Blue Go Purple are the 2024 recipients of the IMNZ Classic Record - for their 1991 album Compilation. Congratulations LBGP - more here! www.flyingnun.co.nz/blogs/flying-nun-1/look-blue-g…
Boxing Day Sale! Here at Flying Nun Records we don’t go in for sales very often. But this year was a bumper, so we thought we’d wind it up with an extra big (perhaps our biggest) sale. This will extend through until New Year’s Eve.
www.flyingnun.co.nz/
Check back throughout the week as we will be adding more titles.
Also, our Wellington record store has additional titles on sale that are only available in store. We’re open from Boxing Day and through the week, 11-4pm.
As there are less couriers than usual, and also less staff, bear with us as online order deliveries may be slower than usual!
The year's coming to an end so the Nun staff have sat back, got comfy and taken a moment to reflect on the year in music that was; as you do. We've gone for three favourite albums and one favourite song - Flying Nun releases excluded (no bias here!). www.flyingnun.co.nz/blogs/beautiful-things/flying-…
Yes. We have them. Redeemable at both our Auckland and Wellington stores, available on the Flying Nun website or in stores. www.flyingnun.co.nz/.../flying-nun-fuzzy-voucher

Read Delaney Davidson on The Sundae Painters, on the Flying Nun website.
www.flyingnun.co.nz/blogs/features/delaney-davidso…
The Sundae Painters are the creative collaboration between members of The Bats The Clean, Tall Dwarfs & Toy Love. Beaming out mysterious sonic frequencies from a farm shed in the South Island, bandmates Kaye Woodward, Alec Bathgate, Paul Kean, and Hamish Kilgour's project documents the four-piece discovering themselves somewhere else musically. Out via Leather Jacket Records ! (note, ltd edition colour sold out, but standard edition in stock soon)
A feature here on Morning Report on Flying Nun - with Vera Ellen, Erny Belle with Roger Shepherd and Ben Howe. Over on the RNZ website. www.rnz.co.nz/national/programmes/morningreport/au…
T-shirt restock! Don't miss out! This Christmas, make sure you get the sweet sized Fuzzy perfect fit t-shirt for you nana or grandpa. Not too baggy, not too tight. Swag as for a sunny afternoon at the RSA. But, if you leave your shopping too late, some sizes can run out. Granny and pops won't be happy. Now is the time to take action.

Fortunately, we've just done a huge t-shirt and merch restock. We've got the full spread of sizes for most of the classics...for now. Here are just a couple that are now fully stocked up. All of the merch is on our website.
Nice review by Martin Aston of Vor-stellen in the latest edition of MOJO - you'll have to pick up a copy to read the rest. While you're shopping, get the album as well! www.flyingnun.co.nz/.../vor-stellen-parallelograms
Home to the audio visual world of Flying Nun Records. New Zealand and Independent, with music videos, live clips, interviews and much more.
A lot of these videos feature the bands "performing" direct to camera (with and without makeup), several of them have driving motifs, and plenty of 'em were made with extremely limited resources. Both new and old clips, with all the fun times captured and presented in a user friendly format (often 3 minutes or less) while our test audiences have found the cameo-spotting to be an excellent source of enjoyment - not to mention the memories that were evoked upon viewing some of the rarer material.
