Make sure you read this new DS 160 policy which got implemented recently and act accordingly.
Key points
1 .If you have booked your appointment BEFORE NOV 15th 2023 then you can just carry your new DS 160 Confirmation.
2. If you have booked your appointment AFTER NOV 15TH 2023 then its mandatory to carry the same DS 160 which is in your Appointment Confirmation or you should carry old DS 160 confirmation and new DS 160 confirmation both. So, you can change you DS 160 anytime before Biometrics but you should also carry old DS 160 which is similar to appointment confirmation DS 160.
Note: This new DS 160 policy is been implemented strictly and hundreds of applicants were sent back this week as they failed to show old DS 160 confirmations and whose appointments got booked after Nov 15th 2023.

Facing issues/errors with New CGI Portal?
Dear Friends
I know many are facing a variety of issues/errors with this new cgi portal and got stuck. Contacting customer care and getting them resolved became very complicated and a lot of your time and efforts are going to waste.
I would like to bring to your notice that I did extensive research on this new cgi portal on a trial-and-error basis and was able to resolve a few issues.
Note: Applicants who already have paid fees before 29th July 2023. Please Donβt go to Close the application and start the application option.
I can try to assist you in resolving the following issues
1. If paid fee is not reflected in your new cgi portal or when you go to Continue Application if you are stuck at the dependent or delivery page or getting an error
2. If you are not able to see schedule/reschedule options
3. If you are seeing the Information Correction option in your home page
4. If you are not able to see the OFC calendar and system directly showing the consulate post
5. If you are facing SAG01 or SAG20 or any SAG error.
6.If your emergency appointment request got approved and you are not able to pick appointments.
7. if you are able to see appointment dates and if you are not able to select a date.

π Agents Fraud Alert π
Dear Friends
Many agents are posting messages that they will book early slots and convincing you to give your login credentials. The moment you give credentials they are changing your security questions and answers and demanding/Blackmailing money to share security questions and answers.
They will start demanding small amounts like 2k, once your send 2k to them they will start demanding more and more. In this new system you can only change your login password by going to forget password but security questions to be answered to login into your account..we all know that customer support is so pathetic now and we cannot expect them to resolve it.
Don't fall prey to this kind of service for early appointment dates.....follow Telegram groups for appointment dates updates and keep checking for appointment dates frequently in your logins... may be 1 month or 2 months delay but you will get appointment dates by yourself.
Only take agents' or consultants' services if you know them well or are referred by your friends strongly and have an established office in India with a website and operating for some years.
The agents who are telling us that they will book appointments and posting ads that dates are available are just frauds with no physical offices and we cannot catch them and get out of this kind of problem.
I will try to do research and try to find options to get back your login credentials soon.

Hi Friends,
New CGI portal got updated and now we can see our dependent's DS 160 barcode and UID barcode in appointment confirmations.... All the applicants who booked appointments before and now trying to download appointment confirmations can log in and download updated appointment confirmations along with dependent details.

IMPORTANT NOTE: For the applicants who already have an appointment and now signing up with a new CGI profile, Please first go to the appointment confirmation page and download your existing appointment confirmation along with the barcode...as once you go to Reschedule option in New CGI profile the option of Appointment confirmation disappears and we cannot download appointment confirmation later . I have attached 2 snapshots where the Appointment confirmation link is visible in one page and not visible on the other page.

The "CLAIM RECEIPT" option is for Applicants who have paid fees before and wanna link it with the new CGI portal. Unfortunately, it is not working now, Error is coming while entering receipt number and date of fee payment. It will be resolved soon hopefully.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you already have an appointment date booked before, u can signup with the new CGI portal www.usvisascheduling.com/ follow the steps and see ur appointment confirmation and you will have options to reschedule your appointment data.

This is a very good news for all Indians, US Embassy and consulates have announced to release 20000 slots under interview waiver for Spring 2022.we can expect more dropbox slots in Jan Feb and march months.
Applicants who already have or had any type of visa and currently planning to apply for F, H-1, H-3, H-4, non-blanket L, M, O, P, Q, and academic J visas will be eligible under interview waiver.
