After finding the missing horse yesterday, I went to go look for the others that were missing after talking to the owner. I searched a mud pile, and there were hoof prints leading to the lake. I checked the lake, and I saw something sticking up. I thought it was a stick, but I went to investigate. I looked underwater and I found a horse. He looked like one of the horses that were missing, named flame. His halter read, FME, but all the other letters were chipped off. The flame was under the water. When I pulled him out, he did not move. It looked like his front leg was broken, and he was really soft like he was underwater for a few days. The owner of the other horse I found was named Horsey, and I called her after I found him. I told her that I did not think he was alive. There are still 3 other horses to be found. Today, I was hiking, and I found a horse laying on the ground. There was like 3 other horses surrounding her but when I approached her they all ran. She had a halter on, so I think she was someone's pet. The halter had a name on it but alot of it was chipped off. All I saw on it was DSTNY. There was a really bad flood a few days ago, so she had probably gotten loose. I managed to get her up and I brought her to the emergency vet. Her hooves were in really bad shape, they were a good length but they were really cracked. She had a lot of mud on her and a really bad leg wound. The vets took amazing care of her and when I came back the next day she looked way better. She was very dehydrated and hungry before we came to the vets. The other horses that surrounded her where all paints and one kinda looked like a freisian. They also had halters. I am going to do some research to try and find out who might own them.
