in the future - u will be able to do some more stuff here,,,!! like pat catgirl- i mean um yeah... for now u can only see others's posts :c
How's this for irony. I woke up this morning with about 5% of my usable voice and a stupid cough. This is what I get for planning livestreams too far in advance.
As such, I'm going to postpone our livestream for this weekend to next weekend (that should be long enough to recover from a cold I hope!). So as of now, our livestream will be November 30 at 11:00 EST. Sorry for the last minute change.
Oh and don't be surprised if my videos next week don't 'sound right' :P
Enjoy!

And I thought it had been awhile since I've posted, oy vey! I guess I go in three month intervals :P
That being said, as you have no doubt noticed a brand new MSFS has been released and after some interesting teething troubles with it (try binding controls on it!), I've managed to force it to bend to my whims. This also means we've got some great content for you coming out over the next four years along with some excellent inspiration for future livestreams.
That being said, I am pleased to announce our first livestream in a very long while and it will be featuring the new career mode in MSFS 2024 and it will be held on November 23rd at 11:00 EST. I'm not sure how well that will mesh with the multiplayer features of MSFS, so it will certainly be experimental to say the least.
Thank as always for your support, especially my handful of members that are willing to give me that extra little push to stay on schedule and coming out with content week after week.
Enjoy!

Hello Everyone!
It has been quite a while since I last posted (or streamed, for that matter), and I thought it would be a great time to stop by and update you on what has been happening this summer. For one, I've been taking a much-needed break from the absolute insanity of last school year. Additionally, I've been continuing to create the usual content for MSFS and CMO.
Another major project I have been working on this summer is constructing a Python course for my school, from the assignments to the textbook. (That's A LOT of work for those of you who haven't tried it!) As I was building the book, it occurred to me that it would probably be a good idea to include some kind of companion video series to go with it. I intend to do so, posting it here in addition to my usual sim content, for the benefit of my students as well as everyone on the internet.
Finally, I was hoping that MSFS 2024 would come out this summer so I could 'restart' my playlist with all the new features. However, it looks like the release will be delayed until late fall, which is disappointing to say the least (you all know the new game will be out in winter).
So, keep an eye out for that series (it'll probably be one mega release all at once) as well as a livestream that I plan on putting together in the upcoming weeks (probably a double header with CMO and MSFS).
Thank you, as always, for your support, and a special thank you to all my members for keeping me going all this time.
Enjoy!

The wheels have been set in motion and we are now ready to get the aforementioned newbie friendly VATSIM livestream ready to go. Our next livestream will be on Saturday May 25th from 1100-1200ish EDT and will feature VATSIM based ops in and around KBDL (Bradley International Airport).
There should be fairly complete coverage ranging from Ground up, so it'll be a great chance to try out a few different techniques. No matter what your skill or confidence level is, you'll definitely want to check it out with no fear of any judgment! I can't stress enough how patient and skilled these controllers are and how much more your flying game will benefit from using more authentic communication.
For those who are unsure of 'what' to do, here's a few suggestions:
1) Newbie: Fly through KBDL's airspace travelling from two untowered airspaces VFR requesting transition along the way
2) Amateur: Start at Signature FBO in KBDL (it's the Northwest one), request taxi to the runway, takeoff and fly to an untowered airport (e.g. KBDL to KIJD)
3) Intermediate: Fly into KBDL from an untowered airport, request a landing and then taxi to the FBO or parking.
4) Intermediate+: Fly into KBDL from an untowered airport, fly the pattern requesting various approaches (touch and go, low approach, short) and then land full stop or return to your starter airport
5) Advanced: Fly an airliner starting from the gate at another controlled airport IFR then then fly into KBDL, getting an instrument approach down to a specific gate.
That should give you some great ideas. Aircraft wise, I'll be operating the Beechcraft A60 Duke (as if you had to guess) and I'll likely start at Signature (and BDL), fly some closed patterns and then depart the area to beat up the tarmac somewhere else before returning to do a few more before landing. If I can get my buddy, formation flying may be in the gathering as well.
Hope to see as many of you there as possible!
Enjoy.

Hello everyone!
There will be no livestream this weekend (or next unfortunately, blame it on vaping in the school bathrooms), but I have some very interesting news. I was recently contacted by a VATSIM controller interested in 'helping us out' :)
My evil plan would be to have a livestream, and for anyone who is nervous and new to VATSIM to find a safe place to learn and still do our usual flying shenanigans. Naturally it would be in Connecticut, so I have some Connecticut themed videos all queued up for us in the next week to get you in the right 'state' of mind :P So between now and then, unfreeze those VATSIM accounts.
Other than that, thank you always for your support and thank you to our growing list of members for theirs:

Hello Everyone,
We’ve got some exciting content lined up for this weekend! On Saturday, April 20, we’ll be hosting two livestreams. The first stream, scheduled for 1900 EDT, will focus on Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) and feature none other than the Boeing 737—the runner-up in our last “what to fly” poll. During this stream, we’ll attempt to join VATSIM for a flight. Keep an eye out for updates on which controllers will be available. While it’s likely that the flight will take place somewhere on the West Coast of the USA, surprises are always possible based on who’s around.
On Sunday, April 21, at 1100 EDT, I’ll be hosting another livestream, this time for Command: Modern Operations. During this stream, we’ll answer questions and create a modern take on the Battle of Midway using the scenario editor.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to host a DCS stream this time—it’s a bit too much to handle at the moment.
Thank you all for your support, and as always, enjoy!

Hello everyone!
As you may have noticed we did not have a livestream this weekend for a few different reasons. First, at my job I took on a new responsibility as a school administrator on top of my regular teaching position. This has been a really great experience so far, but the time and emotional commitment is off the charts and has been grinding me down since I started it. I'm still able to get my usual YouTube stuff complete (somehow, so far), but I'm going to hold off on livestreams until our next school holiday which is roughly the third week of April. At that point, I'd love to do a MSFS + C: MO and maybe even a DCS livestream spread across that week/weekend.
Second, it is a holiday weekend for many, so enjoy :)
P.S. A shoutout goes to all my members (and thank you for their patience too!). They are:

Our next livestream will be this Saturday March 16th 2024 at 1100 EDT and will feature the DHC-2 Beaver flying in the Yukon of Canada taking off from CYGE and travelling via more pine trees than you can imagine to CYJA North and East.
As always, if you'd like to join us, we are on the EAST USA server with ALL PLAYERS enabled. You may fly any plane you'd like (the an-2 isn't a bad choice here either), but you'll need about a 130-140 knot cruise speed to keep up.
Enjoy!

Hello everyone! There will be no livestream this weekend (3/9/2024) as I am a bit too overwhelmed with the two jobs as well as managing the household at this time, I intend to have a regular livestream next weekend though and am currently vacillating between flying the Boeing 737, dh.82, DHC-2 or the Beechcraft G58. Thoughts?
What to fly on our next livestream?
25 - 6
We've got a special folks :)
Our next livestream will be this Saturday, February 24th at 1100 EST and will feature Dune Ornithopters over the deserts of Mexico. I know technically it's a science fiction aircraft, but dune technically takes place far away from here, so you never know :P
During our journey, I'll talk a bit about my experiences with the Dune franchise (books, games, movies, tv) as well as try real hard not to fly backwards too often during landing. If you'd like to join us, we'll be on the EAST USA server and you'll need something pretty darn quick to keep up if you don't opt for the free ornithopter that you can get off the MS Marketplace. ICAO wise we'll be MM26 to MMDA direct.
Enjoy!
