I wanted to make and share this video because so many of us struggle with our personal finances (myself included; and no one has made more mistakes than me). Financial literacy isnโt taught in our education system, and despite all of us needing money, and using it on a daily basis, this important life skill just isnโt valued. So many of us end up taking on the habits and behaviors of everyone else. Well if no one has any formal financial education who is really leading the crowd?!
And that is the plight of the American consumer. We have been told by others, and our culture on what to value, where to spend our money on, and on what things.
In my 20 years of mortgage banking, these are the top 5 personal finance behaviors that really hold folks back from getting ahead. To get ahead financially first we have to focus on what behaviors to avoid, and that is the message of this video.
