Hello there!
It's been a while, certainly. But, while I've been away, I've not been idle. Things were learned from my first foray, and changes will be made to better and improve myself and the my content. But all that being said, more will come in the future!
But, speaking of changes, the first of them you may already have noticed: we're rebranding! "August Keys" tested to be very clunky and kind of confusing. So instead, we're going with "Fyrelock!"
What is a Fyrelock? Why is "fire" spelled so weird? What are you locking? All of those are good questions, but for now, just know that this is just a simple change in the long road to reinvigorating the content.
Fyrelock will return...

Drumroll..... it's Friday! And you know what that means. Week before last, I posted a video about monsters, and this week's lore post will be regarding one of those. The Ferrogrub. Otherwise known as the "giant metal-eating worm"
"Seemingly evolved from the larvae of some long-extinct beetle and theorized to have mutated due to alchemical runoff and exposed magic, ferrogrubs, also sometimes known as “rust monsters”, are a plague for the typical dwarf, gnome, and goblin tinker. Infesting junk heaps, ore mines, and the bowels of workshops, ferrogrubs are creatures who have made a name for themselves as being the pinnacle of scavenging and metallic consumption, as they are attracted to the very same metals that so many in the world depend on for crafting goods, weapons, armor, and tools. Resembling broader and more armored mealworms, with a bronze-like coloration to their fleshy hides and a rusty complexion to their armored carapace, ferrogrubs infest the mines, workshops, and quarries of Afroth, tunneling through the ground and foundations of their nesting spots with the aid of magnetic sensory organs found behind their eyes, which are rumored to allow them to see through rock and find their favored meals: metals like iron, nickel, and cobalt.
Despite their large sizes, being similar in length and width to a python, ferrogrubs are still prone to the weaknesses of their ancient ancestors. As relatively slow, inactive creatures, they are easily killed with the use of weapons, and are completely defenseless when caught. Indeed, most ferrogrubs will try to escape when presented with a predator, either inching away on their short and stubby legs, or try and burrow into the ground to avoid reprisal. Only their ability to dig, coupled with their acidic blood and spittle, which they use to melt their meals, makes them any amount of danger. "
