In November 1981, Klaus Schulze was scheduled to go on a two-week tour through Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and France, which was to end in the Audimax Hamburg. Multi-instrumentalist Manuel Göttsching accompanied Klaus on tour as a special guest. This recording of the Hamburg Audimax concert was originally intended as a spontaneous, internal documentation; as a nice souvenir for everyone of a wonderful tour and now, after more than 40 years, allows all fans to share in the wonderful memories.
With this in mind, we wish you - certainly also on behalf of Klaus and Manuel - a safe journey. Bon Voyage!

It all began at the end of 2008 with an enquiry from a German film production company asking if Klaus would perhaps create the score for a planned film documentary about computer hackers. In the end, this turned into a complete Klaus Schulze album, from which the director of the documentary film "Hacker" - Alex Biedermann - was only to use small parts as soft background music. With "101, MILKY WAY", the complete work created in 2009 is now available for the first time - it is a greeting from Klaus' new cosmic home somewhere in the universe.
Pre-order "101, MILKY WAY" (out November 15th via SPV Recordings) here:

He shaped the ‘Berlin School‘ and was most influencial for various music styles that came of Electronic Music. The ‘godfather of Techno Music' – as he is fondly called by some of the internationally known DJ‘s and Remixers – rolled out his extensive sounds, played his legendary sequences and created this unique ‘Schulze atmosphere‘ for more than 50 years. ‘Musique Planante‘ is the french term to describe his unique works. His beginnings took off in bands like ‘Tangerine Dream‘ and ‘Ash Ra Tempel‘, continued with over 50 solo albums from ‘Irrlicht‘, ‘Mirage‘, ‘X‘ and ‘Dune‘ to ‘Farscape‘, ‘Kontinuum‘, ‘Silhouettes‘ and recently ‘Deus Arrakis‘, in his productions under the moniker of ‘Richard Wahnfried' or in his various collaborations with great artists like Arthur Brown, Michael Shrieve, Rainer Bloss, Lisa Gerrard or lately Hans Zimmer.
