The first-ever successful Air Ambulance transfer in the Healthcare Sector of Pakistan.
Halima Bibi, a paralyzed woman who fell from a rooftop in Mianwali, has been swiftly airlifted to Rawalpindi Hospital for urgent medical care, thanks to the directive of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Under the critical concept of the 'Golden Hour', which emphasizes the swift treatment of traumatic injuries, Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif ensured Halima's timely transfer from Mianwali to Rawalpindi. Dr Razoon Naseer supervised the operation following a referral from Mianwali's district headquarters hospital.
"The successful transfer of Halima Bibi underscores our commitment to providing timely and efficient medical care," stated Maryam Nawaz Sharif. "Our air ambulance service will now operate across Punjab, ensuring that no one suffers due to lack of access to essential treatment."

Lufthansa Cargo flies to two more Asian stations with its B777F long-haul fleet from its home hub in Frankfurt: The carrier has now added Shenzhen Boa’an International Airport (SZX) to its freighter network for the first time and will serve it twice a week in the future. The Lufthansa Group’s logistics expert has also recently started operating freighters to Zhengzhou (CGO) three days a week.
“In the Chinese market, the e-commerce business segment in particular is growing steadily, and we continue to see high demand, especially to Europe. Accordingly, additional air freight capacity is needed to transport goods quickly, compliantly, and safely. With the expansion of our Asian network, we can now serve even more important freight destinations in China for our customers. This will be possible thanks to the new B777F freighter, which we expect to receive in the course of this summer. This will not only mean enabling global business for our customers in a sustainable way but also growing as a company in an important cargo region,” explains Ashwin Bhat, CEO of Lufthansa Cargo.

Ethiopian Airlines Group said June was an ‘outstanding’ month of growth and expansion.
In June, the airline unveiled four new international and domestic routes, enhanced flight frequencies on six routes, and celebrated prestigious awards from Skytrax and APEX.
On the international front, Ethiopian Airlines has expanded its network with new routes, including Freetown in Sierra Leone, and Maun in Botswana. Warsaw, the largest and the capital of Poland, has also joined Ethiopian’s extensive global network as its 24th destination in Europe, effective July 1st.
Domestically, the airline has introduced flights to Axum and Nekemte. Similarly, Ethiopian increased frequencies on existing routes. Recognising its continued excellence, Skytrax and APEX have awarded Ethiopian Airlines for its achievements on enhanced customer experience.
In addition to the new routes, Ethiopian Airlines has increased frequencies on several existing routes. Starting on May 31, 2024, passengers on the route to/from Ouagadougou are now enjoying daily flights. Conakry also saw an increase to daily flights effective June 1, 2024. New morning departures from Addis Ababa to Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar in Tanzania commenced on June 16.
