Hello everyone! Hope you're having a lovely weekend! So I've been hard at work making Minecraft look as beautiful as humanly possible (without going overboard and too non-Vanilla) and my old idea of a building-focused Minecraft series is at the forefront of my mind again. I wanted to give you a little insight into my headspace regarding this idea though, since this is not the first time I've wanted to roll with this idea... 😅
To give you a quick rundown of the idea again...
- The series would be focused entirely on me trying to better my building skills
- It'd only ever be on stable updates so I can always have access to shaders and my Python Pack resource pack
- It'd be a series with a very chill vibe. Beautiful landscapes (with the shaders) and very chill background music
There's two main reasons I keep shying away from the idea, one is because I've tried this idea twice back on PythonMC and both amounted to nothing in the finish, the other because the argument is there that I could just build on the Let's Play series, which is true, I can (and will!) - The fact of the matter is this, I'm getting to a point where I'm honestly feeling too scared to start certain series or rolling with different ideas for fear that history will repeat itself or that I might alienate my audience 🥺
I don't like that this is the case. I used to start series on a whim, whatever I felt like, whenever I felt like it. I want to return to those days. You know what they say right? You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. You learn by making mistakes and hey, certainly in terms of the LP side of things, I've stuck to my word so far with the Let's Play series essentially being my "home" in Minecraft. I've ran that series for over 2 years and 117 total episodes so far! 😀
Let me know your thoughts on the matter, both with a comment and with a vote on the poll, I'd really appreciate your input 😀❤ I'm personally excited for this idea and that alone should be enough to warrant someone wanting to try and roll with it right?!

Ordinarily, I'd put a 3rd option which would be "Do what you want to do" but this time, I want a definitive answer. I know I can't satisfy everyone but I want tp make sure I'm doing the right thing by asking at the very least 😀

I'll be honest, it's not looking good for the Survival Saturdays stream today. Dealing with a lot of pain in my face currently (an infected low-hanging sinus to be exact) - Combine that with little sleep as a result of it and yeah, it's not a good recipe for a stream eh? 😖
What I will do, because I'm enjoying the new season so much (and I can edit around the pains, etc) is I'll try my best to get another video out to you folks. There's still so much I wanna do in Season 3! I'm having so much more fun with this season so far compared to Season 2, it's literally night and day! I tried something different with Season 2 (more progress per episode) and quickly found it wasn't for me so yeah! Hope you're enjoying Season 3 so far! From here on in though, I will be reducing the vids to every other day. Going at it daily was a nice challenge and it yielded great results numbers wise but I also understand that some folks have had troubles keeping up with the episodes. On top of that, maintaining this channel daily as well as still maintaining putting videos on my Terraria channel has meant that my work/life balance was hugely skewed towards work... with little to no time off, which isn't great for one's mental health after a while! ❤
So yeah, plenty more Minecraft to come, plenty more Terraria too, just at a more manageable rate, both for me personally making the vids and, hopefully, for more of you folks to have a chance to keep up. Thanks again 😃❤

Just wanted to quickly mention (in case you didn't watch to the end of Episode 8) that in place of a video on Saturdays, there'll be a livestream instead, which I'm calling "Survival Saturdays". Since we're still in the beginning stages of the new season, the first few streams will likely just be us gathering resources for future projects. I just figured it'd be nice to do that in the form of a livestream so we can all hang out, chill and interact with each other!
So TL;DR - Daily Minecraft episodes Sunday through Friday and on Saturdays, there'll be a livestream instead! 😃

I'm really starting to miss my LP world and I'm super eager to get S3 underway... I guess I could continue to prune chunks so we get the new Trial Chamber dungeon hopefully nearby wherever we start S3? I dunno, just thinking aloud. I'm just at a point where I'm tired of waiting for updates in games to start new series/seasons in the hope a new season will have more hype (which it will, undoubtedly so of course but still...) 😅
Hey folks, I'm really sorry to say that today's stream isn't going ahead 😦 This coming Monday is the spreading of my brother's ashes and it's gotten me all messed up in the head, which will likely only get worse until the time actually comes. I barely got any sleep last night and there's just too much going through my head right now to stream, you'd all immediately notice there's something off with me and I just don't want to do it if I'm not 100% there. Really sorry folks...
This poll is running alongside Episode 32 (Ep.99 overall) of the Let's Play! Essentially, an idea was posted my way that I should randomise the co-ordinates for where I start Season 3 of the Let's Play (coming when 1.21 releases or when there's a stable enough pre-release or release candidate!) - I thought it was a pretty fun idea.
