Hello friends! My name is Jacqueline Beaulieu. I am a PhD Candidate studying Higher Education at the University of Toronto. My research examines the outcomes and implications of Ontario's (Canada) policy on ancillary fees. These are primarily collected to fund student services and student representative bodies at colleges and universities. The policy requires colleges and universities to co-determine these fees with their respective student populations.
More broadly, my research interests are located at the intersection of institutional governance, policy, finance, and students' experiences. I am particularly interested in how students contribute to the institutional decision-making of colleges and universities.
Through this channel, I will share:
- my research
- lessons learned on the road towards pursuing a PhD
- tips for students and academics
- other fun!
