64 Toyota stout build. It will be juiced, bodydropped, secti

Chopping out the spring cups and mocking up the control arm shape with wire to pull templates from. Mocking up 90s hilux control arms on the Stout. Taking the suspension geometry into consideration. How I extended the spring cups in the stout. Drum to disk brakes in the stout. Used 90s hilux spindles & made a spacer for the steering link. This is when I realised that I should build the front suspension before finishing the firewall. Hammer-formed and bead rolled aluminium are piece. 3D printed demister housing. Also I have a new full length video uploading. Will premiere tomorrow! Tig welding the inner pillar to the Stout cab. Custom stainless door latches. They were cut out of pieces of flat steel and bolt together. Welding up and moving the door striker holes. Mounting seatbelt buckles. To engineer/ register the stout, it needs retractable seatbelts. Welding the inner roof panels together. I share a handy trick here where I leave little cleco tabs. Fabricating and polishing custom stainless steel seat strikers. Got carried away with this beadrolling design. Simple is better. Beadrolling and metal shaping the aluminium seat backs. Modifying the seat backrest. Fabricating spring mounts. #welding #autoupholstery #metalfab #custom Tig welding the seat base together. #sheetmetal #custom #fabrication #welding #beadrolling From cardboard to a beadrolled seat base. #beadrolling #sheetmetal #custom #lowrider #metalfab Glued rubber to the seat frame to set the clearance for leather and foam. Welded the pieces together Using the power hammer and enginish wheel to shape up the seat sides. #fabrication #custom Making the seat bases. First time trying to shrink with the power hammer so they’re a little rough. Flip up seats in the stout. This allows any to access the storage box’s under the floor. Making custom seat brackets out of 1.6mm steel on the power hammer Chopping the 2007 Nissan navara rear bench seat into the framework for custom buckets. Finishing up a new full length video now! Hopefully I’ll get it uploaded by Friday :) Extending the front inner roof piece to suit the roof chop #custom #tigwelding #metalwork Metalshaping the last patch in the roof and sanding it smooth. #sheetmetal #metalfinishing #tigweld Tig welding the front of the roof and metal finishing it smooth Metal finishing the roof. #sheetmetal #metalfinishing #custom #metalshaping Tig welding the beadrolled roof insert into the stout. #sheetmetal #welding #custom Tig welding the sides of the roof into place. #metalwork #tigwelding #metalfinishing #custom Removing the wooden buck and starting to weld the roof pieces into the cab. Welding the cab corners to the middle piece. #tigwelding #metalwork #sheetmetal #metalfinishing metalfinishing the beadrolled roof panel. #metalshaping #beadroller #custom Bead rolling the roof skin. This was my biggest challenge yet. It was all carefully post stretched. How I came up with the beadrolled roof design. Stretched a few ideas and then laid it out in tape. Making the roof skin insert. Needed a hand with this one to support the panel on the English wheel. Making the roof sides using the beadroller and 3 in one. Added some shape with the English wheel Metal shaping the back piece of the roof #toyotastout #sheetmetal #metalshaping #metalwork #roofchop Pulling a flexible pattern from a clay model to make a sheetmetal part. #metalshaping #custom Working out the corners on the roof using modelling clay. #metalshaping #custom #sheetmetal Fabricating and welding the front piece of the custom roof. #metalshaping #tigwelding Using 3D printing and scanning to mirror a sheetmetal part in the form of a buck. Tig welding the corners together on the roof. #fabrication #sheetmetal #custom #welding Making a pattern and turning it into a sheetmetal part #metalshaping #beadrolling A wood buck is important in metal shaping. It allows me to visualise and is a reference to build to. Clay modelling to work out the shape of the part before shaping it in sheetmetal. #metalwork #custom Making the inner roof structure of the stout #sheetmetal #fabrication #roofchop #custom
