UPDATE: Carpe Susians! Sorry to have gone dark. After the last hunt and announcement of the contest, I hunted twice with no luck and then life happened, making demands on my personal time, beginning with a scheduled surgery for one of my adult kids (went fine) toppled by another family member at the same time who went in unexpectedly and has been having a tough fight since before Christmas. I plan to be in the field as soon as possible and will have new t-shirt contest and I plan to be giving away an OdenWolf W-3 Outdoor Knife like the one I am currently using. Also, I hope to be testing a new thermal very soon and also my most unique Grendel upper yet.

I am very excited about getting to field test a new prototype thermal sight from Bering Optics. Monday's hunt was a success and I hope to get in a couple more hunts with the new scope and then my partner, Hunt TXhogs will likely have a more thorough overview of the features of the optic on his channel. Video(s) will be out at the end of next week for this optic. In the mean time, I will be hunting with my regular gear and putting out videos as well...

Good hunt last night with 7 hogs shot and 6 recovered. Video will drop on 11/18. Also, the first Carpe AnalySus: The Trauma Diaries vid will drop the same day, talking about the ballistic impact of Druid Hill Armory loaded Remington Core-Lokt 120 gr. bullets on two of the hogs.

Sorry, no dash cam video because I don't have a dash cam. Last night's hunt only resulted in 1 kill and it was at 60-65 mph on the little two lane road between properties. There were about 6 in the road at the time. I missed the largest, but nailed a 90 lb sow in the center stripes. She was DRT. The truck only had minor damage. I dragged the carcass off the road so she would not be a hazard. Will try again tonight, this time with the rifle.

Big night out with my buddy Pig Popper TX (Ben). We took 6 boars ranging in size from 160 lbs to two that weighed 230 lbs. LOTS of stalking and so lots of video to sort through from both guns. Hopefully, edited video ready late 7/1 or by midday 7/2. Oh, and the hog not posed with rifles? It went for a swim.

Thursday night started off disappointingly, but then things ramped up to being pretty exciting. Because of high grass, had to go back and find hogs on Friday. Video should be out later today...

Pig Popper TX (www.youtube.com/channel/UCFQj... ) and I just picked up a Lone Star Armory TX15 Multi Purpose Carbine, Enhanced, chambered in .264 LBC for testing and evaluation. We hope to get it to the range this weekend to put it through the paces and then get it hooked up with some thermal or night vision and take it hunting once all the range work is done. Busy night, all spot and stalk back and forth across a large ranch, culminating with a long shot on a 260 lb boar. Video should be done later this evening.

180 lb boar from last night. He was the only hog available to shoot. Saw plenty of hogs out on several properties, just not the properties I hunt. Video turned out fine and should post a new video late tonight or maybe Monday.

Primarily hog and predator night hunting in North Texas. Most hunting videos explain the methods used in hog control, hunting concerns, safety, etc.
