AIRPORT IN 2025
Cape Town International Airport has been named the best airport in Africa at the 2025 Skytrax World Airport Awards, reaffirming its status as the continent's leading aviation hub.
In addition to the top regional title, the airport also received awards for Best Airport Staff Service in Africa and Cleanest Airport in Africa, according to results released by Skytrax on Tuesday.
The Skytrax Awards are based on a global airport customer satisfaction survey conducted between August 2024 and February 2025.
The survey gathered responses from air travellers of over 100 nationalities and assessed more than 575 airports worldwide on metrics such as check-in, arrivals, shopping, security, and boarding experiences.
On a global scale, Singapore Changi Airport was named Best Airport in the World and also won for Best Dining, Best Washrooms, and Best Airport in Asia.
