in the future - u will be able to do some more stuff here,,,!! like pat catgirl- i mean um yeah... for now u can only see others's posts :c
👉Extra video November 24th, 6:00 pm (JST). 👈 A little while ago, I tried to switch things up and try out a more ambient-style video featuring Pancake while I was fixing some shoji doors. Recently, a commenter suggested capturing a video of Pancake sleeping, paired with soothing rain sounds in the background. Well, as luck would have it, Pancake was dozing off while it was raining outside. So, I thought, why not give it a shot?
I know this video style might not resonate with everyone, but I’m genuinely excited to hear your thoughts if this kind of content interests you. And don’t worry, this will NOT replace my current video style; it’s just a little extra treat for those who might enjoy it. :D

It's about to get grimy in here 😷🥽 And about a hundred years’s worth of grime at that. Watch as we remove the ceiling of our akiya house (plus a disconcerted Pancake who is more cat than dog when it comes to big changes in his home) in my upcoming video on November 3rd at 6:00 PM JST. 💃

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give you a quick update. My next video, about winding down the last of the summer days, has been delayed by one week. This is due to the unexpected work involved in a renovation project on our rental house, which will be featured in upcoming videos. I'm excited to share our progress from the past month, and I hope you'll find the wait worth it. I appreciate your patience!

Hi everyone, Thank you to those who watched my last video and to those who pointed out a grave error I had made…. I didn’t include Pancake in the introduction. This was not out of malice—I just didn't have the right shot of him to flow naturally in the intro, and I casually thought that no one would notice... Obviously, I am a fool. A wretched, wretched fool. 😭🤪🙇♀️
I have learned my lesson, and Pancake has forgiven me, after I gave him an extra treat and promised him a leading role in the next video of course: about how we prepared for typhoons out here in the countryside of Japan. Stay tuned for it on Sept. 15th at 6:00pm JST!

Five days ago, I posted my hour-long video, and I have read, pilfered through, and noted all your comments and feedback. It turns out you want even longer, long-form content!
Notes taken. I will lighten up on editing back too much for the next round of videos. Here are some sneak peek shots for my next video, an April vlog to be released on the 19th. I will be packing a lot into this one. 👀

Hello everyone! I want to share a new video experiment with you. I am thinking of creating extra content (this will not replace my existing video style) in this video format: a comprehensive exploration of a single activity in the countryside with no voice-over, limited edited cuts, and minimal music, just uninterrupted natural sounds and moving pictures captured in the moment.
I have posted it on my Patreon page (link below), available for everyone to watch, regardless of membership status. No pressure at all to join— I'm just looking for honest feedback from anyone willing to take the time to watch the video before I start posting it on my YouTube. Please feel free to let me know what you think works and what doesn't. Thank you so much for your help!

First 2024 video coming soon to a Sunday near you 👀 Hi all, a belated happy new year to you all! Jesse and I have happily been relaxing and enjoying the family in Canada and just on our way way home. All the while, working away on the next YT video. This latest episode may include some snow, firewood prep, and the aftermath of a naughty dog left alone with some delicate paper doors 🫨
🗓️ To be published Sunday 14th, 6:00 pm JST.

We are Canadians renting and living in an “akiya” house, one of the many vacant homes in the Japanese countryside, along with our 100% countryside dog mix, Pancake.🐕 I share insights and the joys of living in the countryside, covering topics such as house renovation projects, recreating local recipes, and many other delightful aspects of the local community in remote Japan.
