The next project is underway. Rather than the stock decals I’ll be doing the 2017 Nürburgring 24 hours version using lacquer paints. I’m considering the install of LEDs for the front and rear too 🤔

Slowly but surly. The Tiger has been primed in Mr Surfacer black, given a base coat of XF64 Red Brown, chipping fluid, a base coat of Dunkelgelb Mid War, then Olivgrun and Schokobraun, paint chipped away then finally a mist of Dunkelgelb again to tone the pattern down slightly…. All that just to hide it under winter cam and weathering 🥲

I finally have the interior of the turret complete! What a mission, but I’m thoroughly enjoying this kit.

My latest project is Michael Witmann’s Tiger 1 Early Production with full interior in 1/48 scale by USTAR. I’m really enjoying this kit, but I can’t wait to start getting the rest of the tank together.

Bench update; organising everything and wiping it all down and having a general clean up, not only clears my bench but also my mind. Looking forward to starting my next project now!

Spitfire Mk XII cockpit complete. Really happy with the progress so far. The 3D decals and PE from Eduard have really brought this to life.

It wouldn’t be a modelling channel without a Spitfire and when building a Spitfire, it wouldn’t be right if it wasn‘t an Airfix kit! Although this kit isn’t as detailed as it’s counterparts such as Eduard, I’ll do my best to bring it to life!

Hello, my names Tom and welcome to my channel ‘Forty Five Degrees Modelling’ where I aim to showcase my builds. I named my channel so, because every time I used to look down at my cutting mat, I’d see the 45’ symbol!
I hope you enjoy what I have to offer, you can follow me on Instagram to see what I‘m up to in between videos (link below), don‘t forget to say hello!
