What the hell is happening to the games industry?
I just watched a LP of Redfall and I'm genuinely disgusted with Bethesda, why are triple-A game companies allowed to do this? Why are they constantly releasing unfinished garbage and blatant cash grabs like Redfall.
The triple-A industry can pour as much money as they want into a project and release it in whatever state or build they please and still turn a profit.
It's not fair. It's not fair to players. It's not fair to the market. Believe it or not it's even not fair to the developers themselves.
I bet there are tons of people at Arkane who had a vision in mind, but because Bethesda has a margin to meet it was hacked out early with a huge price tag to please shareholders.
Doesn't this bother people? Remember when you bought a game and it was FINISHED?
But No. Games don't HAVE to be finished anymore. Not when you have infinite money to pour into marketing just to TRICK people into buying it.
I hate to say it but the current triple-A games industry needs another E.T for the Atari 2600 to come out and fast.
We need a market crash.
AAA needs to understand that what they're doing is wrong, that it's soulless.
They need to understand that Video Games deserve better than this.
