Recently I got a new tube furnace, and it's so big that it doesn't even fit in my fume hood! The second photo is for comparison, and it's of my original tube furnace when I made superconductors.

Hey guys, sorry for the delay, but I was finally able to do the draw for the winner of the giveaway. I also made a short video on my NileRed Extra channel to show the kind of ridiculous way that I did it: https://youtu.be/yKB0jXgiBiw
But with that being said, the winner of the atomic trampoline is Saxon from Michigan!
I would like to give a big thanks to everyone who entered though. I really enjoyed reading all of your really nice comments. I am also planning to do some more giveaways in the future, so there will be more chances to win something!

Hey guys, I haven't forgotten about the giveaway, and the winner will be announced in the next couple of days.

Hello everyone! If you'd like a chance to get the atomic trampoline I'm giving away, this is just a reminder to send a nice email to giveaway@nilered.ca. Emails sent after Friday won't be part of the draw, and I plan to randomly pick a winner this weekend.

Hey guys, I'm excited to say that for @CDawgVA's charity auction today, I've donated some of my Styrofoam cinnamon candies! If you've ever wanted a chance to own something I've made, you should definitely bid on it, and all proceeds will be going to charity: charity.cdawgva.gg/
Oh and also, there are loads of other cool things being auctioned off by other creators, and you should definitely check them out!

Hey guys! Open Sauce 2024 is only a bit more than a week away and if it's anything like last year, it's going to be the best science event of the year. I am also of course going to be there, along with pretty much every other science/maker creator that I can think of, and I'm honestly kind of nervous because I agreed to take part in a few on-stage presentations.
Regardless of that though, I think that it's going to be an amazing event and it is definitely the best opportunity to meet me and many other creators in person. You can also still pick up tickets by going opensauce.com/ and I hope to see you there!

Hey guys, Open Sauce is happening again, June 15 - 16 in San Francisco, and I think it's going to be the best science event of the year. If you missed out last year, I definitely think its worth checking out this year, especially because it's going to be even bigger. It will also be a great chance to meet a lot of science creators in person, including me and I think it'll be an amazing time.
To attend, you can still pick up tickets at opensauce.com/.
Or, if you have anything cool you want to show off or exhibit, you can apply as an exhibitor, which will get you free tickets and access to the first night party (which is really fun and you get to hang out with all the featured creators).

Capturing the natural beauty of chemistry
I find that chemistry is often taught poorly or without a purpose. Because of this, people tend to lose interest and sometimes even start to hate it. In each video that I make, I try to balance theory with purpose. My goal is to capture the natural beauty of chemistry in fun and interesting ways.
In terms of education, I have a BSc in Biochemistry, with a minor in pharmacology. However, I've always been a lot more drawn to applied chemistry. So after finishing my degree, I worked as a lab tech in an organic lab, and then as a chemistry grad student. However, I ended up leaving my graduate studies early to focus on this channel. Now, making chemistry videos has become my full-time job!
