HAPPY BIRTHDAY KITTY LEAH ! 🎂
Well, technically, I don't know when her real birthday is. But it was one year ago, June 12, that I adopted her from the Humane Society where I volunteer.
Lots of love from your hooman Daddy. XOXO
PRINCE - PURPLE "REIGN": 40 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF A LANDMARK MOVIE AND SOUNDTRACK ALBUM
Okay, granted. Prince isn't metal, but he was a musical genius. Not all my favourite music is loud, fast and heavy. Hell, I grew up on Elvis Presley! (He was my introduction to Rock 'N Roll when I was 6). I "snuck in" to the Theatre in '84 to see this movie (metalheads never admitted to liking anything else back then). Great movie and great soundtrack. Give it another listen if you haven't in a while.
MEETING HEATHER LAGENKAMP ('NANCY' - "A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET")
Aside from Metal, as many of you know, I'm also a big fan of horror. I met Heather Lagenkamp from "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and "Wes Craven's New Nightmare" at this year's ComiCon in Niagara Falls. She was very courteous, and we even talked about my Cat! 😄
HEAVEN AND HELL! 🤣 🤘
Stryper's Michael Sweet is seen here posing with Mercyful Fate's King Diamond after a recent MF show. Yes, Metal is always our Common Ground!
STAY HEAVY!! 🤘🍻
THE "LEMMY" BURGER!
Here is my recipe for the ultimate Metalhead hamburger! As an ode to the late, great Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead, this recipe is guaranteed to be a hit anywhere a grill is present.
Here's what you need:
1. Two flame broiled Angus or Sirloin burger patties grilled to perfection.
2. Add 2 slices Applewood smoked bacon and 1 slice American sliced cheese.
3. Mix: 1 part Jack Daniel's original barbecue sauce with 1 part Frank's Red Hot sauce, 1 part French's mustard, 1 part A1 sauce and 1/4 shot Jack Daniel's Old No.7 Whiskey.
4. Soft sesame seed bun, lightly toasted on the grill.
5. Add condiments of your choice. NOTE: Do NOT add veggies! Veggies are for sissies!
Just say "Lemme have a Lemmy"!
Serve and enjoy with and Ice Cold Beer of your choice (NOT Bud Light!). Bottoms up, Motherf*ckers!
