In the year 2006, as an extension of its activities, the NEZCC established its Shilpgram, the Crafts Village at Guwahati with the objective of providing a platform for men and women in the field of art and culture to congregate and demonstrate their skills in varied disciplines with an eye on the market.
The Shilpgram Complex at Panjabari, Guwahati has 45 craft stalls, 8 pavilions, 8 food stalls, a dormitory to accommodate 150 artisans and artistes, air conditioned auditorium with a capacity of 400 persons and an open air platform with enough space for 3000 visitors.
NEZCC organizes programmes and activities at the Shilpgram throughout the year. The facilities are also rent out to other organizations for organizing programmes and events.
