I recently did an interview with Hamed Bahram which talks all about my opinions on things like React, Next.js, and AI. We also talked quite a bit about me and how I got started with YouTube, what it takes to create tutorials/courses, and much more.

If you want to learn more about me, my opinions, or are interested in what goes on behind the scenes this is a great interview. Also, Hamed's content is incredibly high quality so I would highly recommend you check out his other videos!

Hey! I wanted to ask you a quick question to get an idea of where everyone in my audience is on their learning journey. Do you have a job as a developer or are you still in the learning phase trying to land a job?

Also, most importantly, if you have landed a job as a developer since you started watching my videos where are you working? I would love to learn what companies everyone is working at, and it just feels good to celebrate landing a job!

This context menu can be created with just CSS! The new popover, anchor, and @position-fallback APIs make this amazing design just a few lines of CSS with absolutely no JavaScript which is mind blowing to me. If you want to learn more you should check out my crash course on these 3 features. https://youtu.be/B4Y9Ed4lLAI
I haven't been this excited for new CSS features since Flexbox and Grid.

PS: If you want to learn even more bleeding edge CSS features you will love the video I am releasing tomorrow.

NEW React Simplified Course - Early Bird Discount!
reactsimplified.com/?coupon=EARLY

After months of hard work I am finally ready to share my brand new React Simplified course. This course is massive and covers every single thing you need to know about React to take yourself to a mid-level React developer. Best of all, this course can be taken no matter what your React skill level is since it explains everything from the basics all the way up to advanced testing, security, and Next.js.

Now before I talk too much about this course I want to say that if you are interested, I am currently running an early bird sale where the first 150 people to buy the course will get an additional 10% off. The coupon should automatically be applied if you use the link below, but if not just enter the code EARLY when you checkout for 10% off.

Now I don't want to bore you with a bunch of information in this post, but I do have a few things you should know.

1. This course is currently in the pre-release phase. This means I only have the first 11 hours of the course finished (which is really about 1 month worth of work for you to get through with all the exercises).

2. Since this course is in pre-release it means the price of the course is the lowest it will ever be. On top of that, if you purchase now you will get early access to all new videos as I finish them which means you will be able to help shape the direction and content of the course based on your needs.

3. This pre-release sale will only last 1 week. After that 1 week the course will be closed for sale until I finish recording the entire rest of the course. At that time it will open back up again, but at a higher price.

This post has already started to get quite long so I will leave it at this. Make sure to check out the link below to get React Simplified before it closes.

My interview on the Beyond Coding podcast just launched! This was a super fun interview where we talked about front end web development, how I got started with YouTube, and a few spicy takes on why I hate dev ops. I would highly recommend you giving this a listen if you have the time.

I am looking for suggestions from you. I have been doing a bunch of live coding tutorials on mostly CSS designs where I attempt to create a project from scratch without ever having solved the problem before. These videos seem to be very popular and helpful, but I need help coming up with ideas of things to create for these projects.

If you can suggest any projects (CSS or JS based) that you think would make an interesting live coding project I would really appreciate. Also, please try to keep the scope of this project/design minimal. I want to keep the videos under an hour long if possible.
