My name is Carli Christina, and I am an artist from the PNW who is in love with the world of fantasy. I specialize primarily in gouache paint and ink work, however sometimes I use watercolor pencils and pastels to create different effects and textures. I use these two mediums in most of my 2D work to convey multidimensional concepts, like two worlds colliding. I also enjoy fashion and upcycling items with my artwork, which means I have a lot of hobbies and bounce between mediums often.
My art often explores life and its ups and downs, the light and the dark side of spirituality, and the humor in existence itself through a dark yet funny and whimsical lens. Lately I have been exploring these themes through nature and underappreciated animals. A lot of the elements I illustrate in my work are heavily inspired by the beautiful scenery of the Pacific Northwest, and folklore.
