Just had some thoughts to the response "But Street Fighter 6 simplified fighting games". RTS games like Iron Harvest, Offworld Trading Company, Tooth and Tail, and others have attempted to simplify and streamline RTSes to meet a demand for "less APM-focused RTS games" but none of them saw mainstream success. Some of them are barely known about even within RTS circles. I think the cold truth is that the only way for a simplification of RTS to ever appeal to the gaming mainstream is for one of the big names: StarCraft, Age of Empires, or Command and Conquer to go that route. Unfortunately, Blizzard is currently looking like it's not going to do that with StarCraft and Command and Conquer isn't looking promising right now either. However, Age of Empires 4 on console has automation and accessibility features to help newcomers manage their base and army with far less micromanagement. So I say: if you're interested in making RTS more accessible to newcomers, check out AoE4 on console and if it suits your tastes, champion it and let the public know

I’ve been extremely busy with full-time work recently, so I’m not going to be able to deliver on my original plan of two videos per month, but I can do one video per month. So next month is going to be Book Club: This Is How You Lose the Time War and I’ll figure out a more realistic schedule for You Should Read and Book Clubs on a once-a-month basis.
