This Speedway sign in my area doesn't just list the gasoline prices, it lists the price of a Slurpee. Because Slurpee is fuel too. Fuel for humans.

I personally don't run on Slurpee. My engine doesn't process it very efficiently.

The sakura trees outside of Sakura are blooming.

Do you have a place (or places) you pass by all the time? Enough times that you entertain the thought of visiting that place someday? Sakura is that kind of place for me.

It's St. Patrick's Day, but somehow I missed this Pink Edition Red Bull that I presume was for Valentine's Day. Also on shelves now? Red Bull Spring Edition.

What I'll say about both of these is, they each have a distinct taste. As opposed to a lot of Red Bulls that just have a generic fruity flavor. I look at the flavor on the can and I'm like "Yep, that's absolutely what this tastes like." Pink has a raspberry flavor, but it's also got that earthy/skunky aftertaste that you get when eating berries. I would call it an "acquired taste." Bonus points for the drink actually being pink.

Spring Edition tastes like grapefruit. And if you've ever eaten a grapefruit you know why that's not necessarily a good thing. On the other hand, when you're trying to quench your thirst you don't want your drink to be too sticky sweet. Chilled, the bitter aftertaste might hit the spot.

In summary, I'm probably gonna just stick to Dragonfruit this St. Patrick's Day. But these definitely earn their place in the holiday rotation.

Around the middle of January this year, I found myself homeless. The laughs have been scarce ever since.

But I went to look at the "Fitness Center" at the motel I'm staying at, and I couldn't help but laugh. Speaking of scarce. Two treadmills, one exercise bike, and a single 15 lb. dumbbell. With an extra stray 5 lb. plate. Sometimes when your life is pathetic enough, it's funny.

If you can believe it, I've never seen Reese's Hearts before. This time of year, in my neck of the woods, they always skip Valentine's Day and jump straight to Reese's Eggs.

I feel like these could've been more "heart-shaped."

From the desk of Punxsutawney Phil. Six more weeks of winter. See you after St. Patrick's Day then, I guess?

You may have heard TikTok is going dark in light of the new ban in the United States. But that goes for all software owned by ByteDance. And did you know that ByteDance owns CapCut? The best free video editing software?

Though CapCut tries to close itself and keep me from using it, it doesn't actually work. Clicking "Close CapCut" just opens a compliance webpage saying that CapCut is banned. So I'm still good to go with CapCut. Not TikTok, so much.

January 6th, 2025. Anybody else get hit with this snowstorm?

Fun to look at, but somebody's gotta shovel that.
