“I wish there was a pill you could take to erase memories,”

In David Beckham’s recent Netflix documentary, he said “I wish there was a pill you could take to erase memories,” This was in relation to his World Cup red card, the abuse he endured afterwards and the effect it had on his parents. In the documentary you could clearly see how much it still affect him and that he still blames himself to this day to what happened to his family.

One silly incident that changed not only his life, but his family and parents. Months of abuse, on and off the field, for a simple mistake. The response was totally disproportionate to the action and has left a scare that may never be healed. The England fans and manager seemed to be convinced that he hadn’t had been sent off, he would have scored with in open play or in the penalty shootout and England would have won the World Cup.

We will never know what would have been if Beckham stayed on the pitch that day, but would we have gone on to win the World Cup? probably not. It is far too easy to blame someone, including Glenn Hoddle, which just shows what a poor manager he was. We won’t even mention Hoddle’s opinions on disabled people and what they have done in previous lives to “deserve” having a disability.

The trauma the Beckham family suffered was extreme and in a lot of cases most players would have buckled. David learned from his mistake and thrived. Eventually he went onto become the national team’s captain and have an illustrious career with Manchester United, Real Madrid, PSG and LA Galaxy.

Anyone who has gone through trauma to any degree may want to simply remove the negative memories. Sadly this pill does not exist, not yet anyway, also if you remove a negative memory, you don’t learn from it. You are destined to make the same mistakes again instead of taking what you can from the experience and growing as a person.

Although there isn’t a pill that exists to remove negative memories, we do have Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) that can massively change the impact negative memories, experiences and emotions that have on us in present day. Instead of “removing” the memory, it allows the client to experience and reprocess the past traumas from a current perspective. When you change the way you look at things, the thing you look at change.

Instead of having to talk about what happened to you and relive the experience, IEMT is largely content free. It allows a massive release from the client’s issues, promotes better brain communication, measured emotional responses and generally a calmer life.

Although you can never change what has happened to you, you can change how you feel about it and how it affects you now. IEMT often works where other therapies have failed, however it doesn’t work for everyone all of the time. IEMT is an exploration of the client’s issues, not a solution.

If you want more information about having IEMT sessions or training in this remarkable therapy yourself, please see www.iemtpractitionertraining.com

Please be sceptical and do your own research. You can watch hours of interviews with IEMT Practitioner and clients on YouTube here youtube.com/iemtpractitioner

I am a terrible salesman. I never push for the close or use any techniques.

What I do is provide a lot of content about what it is that I do. I have an ebook, presentations, podcast interviews, 49 interviews with past attendees, reviews, a Facebook group and I do lives every week.

When you educate people in what you do, how you do it and have those who have done it explain it too, then you don’t need to sell.

All your content to do all the selling for you. Then focusing on speaking with those who are already interested and want to sign up.

I have 3 IEMT training booked for next year. 28/29 Jan, 25/26 Feb and 25/26 March. Please do your research on me and my trainings.

If you want to know more and/or get the ebook, drop me an email Matt at iemtacademy dot com.
