The 76-Second Travel Show is Robert Reid's (quick) look at ESSENTIAL travel subjects like using Billy Joel lyrics as a guidebook, or pirates vs vikings. It dates from the 2009, when he was asked "to do something viral." He had a Flip cam, a box of crayons and iMovie on his desktop. In other words, the aim here is not travel the usual way – but trying to show how to travel like a travel writer. That means traveling to do things more than see things, and sometimes travel to make things not just do things. This comes when you see a trip as a "quest." If you want to get to the heart of a place, it works.
This channel also features other travel videos from his time as the Digital Nomad for National Geographic Traveler and the US Travel Editor for Lonely Planet. Enjoy.
